I have found that the box itself is easy to use, easy to set up and very well built. Although I have found that the DBMC app seems a little less stable than Kodi or even SPMC (in relation to streams freezing and the programme freezing the box at times), I still think it's an excellent piece of software. Being able to control the box via my phone and the Droidbox share app is handy at times too. Overall, I'm very happy with the box and would more than happily recommend it to others interested in an Android TV experience.

Hi I got my droid box over a week ago had my mx box for over 2 years was a bit saddened that it did not come with anything pre installed on xmbc

I received the box less than 24hrs after ordering it which was superb service. Very pleased with the physical build, it's quite sturdy. I also purchased a mini keyboard, again pleased with the quality. I had already purchased an alternative make of box from elsewhere a few weeks ago and quite frankly had a nightmare with it, all sorts of recurring problems. I was beginning to think it was our television. Anyway back to the T8-S... plugged it all in, charged the keyboard and off it went. I had a play around before installing a wizard and some addons and apart from adjusting the resolution on my TV encountered no problems. Early days but so far very pleased with what I'm seeing. Now to teach my husband how to use it :-)

I really like the units just found out from your support team one of the cables is bad for mounting the hard drive the first unit was good but the second won't mount the hard drive. Im hoping this is resolved soon so I can order more units. Also wish your lower end models had the same dual boot I could sell a lot of those here in Canada with that feature or just running openelec on them would be great

The t8s plus is top quality piece of kit which is built to last.
It comes with the wookie wizard zip already on board so you just need to open it and run the wizard.
As a previous t8 owner it was easy to set up but to a novice it may seem daunting,
If you are looking for a top spec box then do yourself a favour,spend a bit more money and get a box that will last,support is really good as is the droidbox forum for info.

Bought this to replace a WDTV Live media hub, and am more than happy with the performance so far. Takes some internet research to set up if you're unfamiliar with kodi, but that's the beauty of its customizability.

A friend working in our house introduced me to Kodi and after a rigorous Google search came to the conclusion of purchasing DroidBox. It has been a marvellous experience and the potentials of this product is limitless. It arrived quickly set up was a breeze plug in dongle and it works.
If it's keyboard face up the mouse pointer turns of if keyboard face down mouse pointer is on it's a bit on the small size for me and would of liked it more if keys has a backlight on them for use in poor lighting
Apart from that is not to bad much better than the the stander included remote

I had ordered the T8, however, I was sent a complimentary T8-S. I don't know why but even though I will probably never need the extra features -Thanks Droidbox.
I have to admit that I was a bit scared to enter the world of Kodi and wizards, so at first I only used the box to watch YouTube videos and had a play with some of the apps. However when the software update was released and I saw that the latest Kodi was included, I knew it was time to take the plunge.
Well, the upgrade went without any problems at all. So, full of confidence, I installed the Paradox wizard-this brought me back down to earth as it did not work. I could see that the software had downloaded but it had not installed. Luckily I found that the maintenance button lets you clear the installation, so I tried again. Eureka! it worked this time and I still have three lives left.
Well, I can honestly say that I have been amazed by what I can now watch. The streaming quality of archived material is excellent, but live TV, especially football, does suffer from buffering and dropped links. A tip for football fans-if you don't need the commentary look at the foreign links. I watched Man Utd v Leicester in French with no problems.
All in all I am really pleased with the Droidbox T8-S. It has a sturdy metal case, was easy to setup and it works well. The Droidbox forum, blog and videos have been of great assistance to this beginner.
