I'm very happy with the 9'x14"x1.4" hickory plank from Hardwood Lumber Company. I've used it as bar/countertop and it fits in great in a room I'm redoing in a (sort of) vintage, 1930s theme. It's beautifully finished with the "dings and dents" providing slightly used appearance, which is just what I was after.

The butcher block is beautiful! My only concern is that we allowed it to lay flat and acclimate for approx a month prior to installing it and it has a pretty good curve in it. Not sure why that happened but we are bracing it in hopes it will lay back down flat over time.
