Hickory Wide Plank (Face Grain) Countertop #445 (1-1/2" - 23" -45")
I bought this Hardwood Lumber Co factory second hickory countertop to use for a Shodo ( Japanese Calligraphy )table top, accompanying stool, as well as a set of paperweights The top had a chip on one corner and one beveled edge . Neither of those defects mattered because I had to cut it down to a smaller size anyway. The hickory was pretty near finish ready smooth when I received it, it took very little sanding and prep work to get it ready for clear. The grain and colors of this hickory are amazing. With a hickory apron and hickory legs, it turned out great. I will definitely buy from here again.

Walnut Wide Plank (Face Grain) Countertop
I love the look of the wide-plank butcher block for a desk. I chose 1" thick, and it's plenty sturdy for a relatively small 2' x 4' desk with legs at the ends. The company was nice enough to do different bevels on the top and bottom for me. The only reason I'm not giving five starts is that there are two scratches on the surface, and the curve of the bevel has a bit of a seam where it transitions to the flat edge of the wood. I also wish the company had more thorough descriptions of the finishes - I'd advise customers to call for a consultation on the finish!
