I bought this dehumidifier for its smart features, and the hardware fault has been made worse by poor customer service.
The manual says the unit turns off once the target humidity is reached. Mine doesn't. I logged it with a power meter and humidity sensors: it sits on fan only at around 32 W for long periods with the compressor off. One night it ran fan only for 2.5 hours straight while the room got more humid, from 53% to 58%, without collecting any water. That's power and noise for no benefit, and it isn't defrost, which runs normally.
Support replied once to say the manual is "a little simplified". When I sent them detailed logged data, they went quiet. I've now sent several emails, including a formal cancellation and rejection within the 14-day period, and had no reply. The only email I've had from them since is this request for a review.
If you want a dehumidifier that does what its manual says, backed by a company that answers its emails, look elsewhere.

This machine has been pretty non stop for slushies since it arrived. Regular and fruit options are great. I haven't tried the ice cream option yet but the alcohol slush and milkshakes are also good. I prefer the softer, level one of freezing and my daughter prefers level two and just spoons it out of the tub. The cleaning option is really useful. The offspring wants her own for her university bedsit so that's Crimbo sorted :)

As I have never owned a dehumidifier before I cannot compare it with any others. I bought this particular model because it was approved by Good Housekeeping and Which (I think). I have only used it once, when I selected the auto mode, as I don’t really understand humidity figures and what they mean. It took approx. 7 hours to dry a few things on my ‘maiden’ so not overloaded.
The cost of running it started at about 4p per hour, and fluctuated upto 8p an hour.
