Excellent process altogether

Seems to be a very good unit. My appartment is very damp (its old with single pane glazing and has a large cellar).. I'm running this 24/7 as the kw/h rating is so good and its removing so much moisture from the air its amazing and kinda terrifying at the same time.

After reading many reviews, I chose this one as it blows out hot air, takes the chill out of the rooms, is great for humidity and dampness, and also dried washing in 4 hours. Happy customer.

Looks nice but takes ages to heat a room not impressed so have ordered a more powerful heater.

Well built and easy to use product. At first I thought it was pretty poor and not pulling enough water from the environment, only 100ml at times. But I would advise looking at the ProBreeze website and learning how they work. Although rated 5 to 32C operating temp. it cannot really work well at less than 15C - this is all explained on the website. Once I got the ambient environment correct it pulled out about 700ml from some laundry. It's early days, but I'm sure it will be very useful and at a good price. Don't forget to register it early to get the 2 year warranty.

Firstly....... ‘Humidity' and 'Condensation' are two completely different things. Humidity is the amount (measured as a % content) of moisture in the atmosphere, where Condensation is atmospheric moisture that has changed its state by forming into ‘water droplets’ when coming into contact with a cold surface (but not necessarily just windows). Some of the reviews I’ve read during my research refer to the Dehumidifier as being ‘not being any good’ by measuring how quickly it takes the condensation to clear from their windows in the morning. I have to tell you that I find this statement to be somewhat unfair as the condensation (water on the window) needs to evaporate back in to the atmosphere before the dehumidifier can then extract the moisture back out the atmosphere; which would possibly suggest this to be more of a ventilation issue than anything else - or have the dehumidifier on overnight !!! Did you know that - Most of the humidity content within the home is caused by us! All of us at some time will cook, wash, bathe, shower, flush the toilet and in particular breathe on a regular basis without keeping the various doors closed either during or after each event. Each event ladens our lovely homes with an ever increasing amount of additional moisture that will always find a cold surface to condense on, thereby creating various issues and problems. There are few of us that will open windows etc on a regular basis (especially when it’s cold outside) in order to refresh the air within our homes so we can lower the indoor humidity which then allows the temperature (you won’t believe this!) to be raised because the humidity is less! An important thing to take into account is that dehumidifiers can only help with our humidity problems but they cannot solve them, so it will depend on your particular circumstance and life style as to whether a humidifier can help reduce the moisture inside your home sufficiently/effectively or not! or whether you could change the way you do things e.g. shut the kitchen door and open a window when cooking. Those of us that still need to keep ourselves fed, washed and breathe may choose to open various windows around the house occasionally (and perhaps also purchase a dehumidifier) in order to help keep the humidity% somewhere between the suggested 30% and 50% saturation levels. (Lower can possibly cause health problems and higher can possibly cause various issues indoors), whilst some of us could or perhaps should also look towards to improving our homes concerning potential insulation and ventilation issues. I have read many reviews during my research (mentioning in what I would describe as being ‘detrimental’) concerning dehumidifiers where the fan is constantly running “24/7”. This makes me wonder if the manufacturer’s philosophy concerning the fan constantly running is that it may potentially be the most efficient and quickest way to dehumidify an area by ensuring that the air is constantly moving in order for the dehumidifier to extract to the set amount of moisture (e.g. 30%-50%) that the machine has been set to! IS THERE SUCH A THING AS A PERFECT DOMESTIC DEHUMIDIFIER? Our requirements are all different as are the situations that we are trying to contend with and that amongst other things not only includes the condition of our homes but where we live and how many there are of us living and sleeping indoors etc. In my experience all dehumidifiers are going to emit a certain amount of noise, so it really depends on you and your hearing ability as to how you perceive noise and whether it’s at an acceptable level or not. Condensate on windows is only how we visually perceive atmospheric moisture condensing on a cold surface, as it also can and does on the walls behind furniture etc given the right conditions (which often leads to microscopic growths such as mould and fungus). There are many things to think about and to take into consideration when choosing a dehumidifier of which in particular you should ask yourself what you actually require it to do for you. After you have done your research properly and you think that a particular dehumidifier is the right one for you, then quite possibly it is....... This 'ProBreeze' 30L unit is quite noisy, the fan constantly runs and it is a little awkward to move around because of its weight and size but the wifi system works as we would expect (using my ios phone) and it operates as it should to whatever the controls are set to. I have yet to experience whether the De-Icing part of this machine is functional or not. If there is a real downside, then I have to say at a hefty 715 watts it has the highest power consumption rate that I came across - so leaving it to run on automatic all the time would not be an option for me (not forgetting that for me it's a 'whole house' unit). All things being equal, I bought it for what it is - knowing that it’s not quietest (but then there are other units on sale that are far noisier), the fan runs constantly and it’s somewhat more expensive to run than other machines. I gave this a 3* rating only because the power consumption is high

The dehumidifier iitself is a really good one. Very efficient and amazingly quiet.

The dehumidifier does its job very well and collects a lot of water. However, it can make a ringing noise when compressor turns on. Happy with the purchase overall

Easy to use. Warmed up very quickly and maintained the required temperature in the room. The timer is a definite added bonus.
