I order most of my plants from TyTy because they are well packed for the trip (they don't get dried out) and I've had good success with them. I do order the smaller plants so I can't say how the packaging would be on larger specimens. Customer service always responds very quickly on the rare occasion I've contacted them.

My experience with the purchase, tracking and planting was very easy and very detailed. I'm replacing an old tree that had died and was a real nice shade on my house. It'll be a while before I'm hoping to see the "fruits" of my labor but I'm hopeful in my choice of the replacement tree.

Crepe Myrtle Trees

I received my plants quickly, but was extremely disappointed in the "stems" I received. I spent almost $1,000 on the trees. They looked like the ends of a straw broom. I was very sad when I opened the box. All the crepe myrtles were just sticks. No leaves, no sprouts, no nothing......and very small. Some of them didn't even have roots. The ones that did weren't impressive. I hope and pray that I am wrong, but I don't have a good feeling about the trees. I planted them immediately. Now, I'm waiting to see if any of them take. I guess I am comparing them to what I would purchase at Lowe's or Home Depot or a garden center. For the money I paid, I was almost in tears. The Chinese Snowball trees were the only bright part of opening the box. Time will time........prayers!!!

Damaged, now dead

I ordered this tree in addition to several others. This, along with my nectarine tree, arrived damaged. The top about 6 inches were broken off and it looked beat up and mishandled. I wanted to wait one month before reviewing to see if it would recover. I planted all of my trees the day after receiving them. My nectarine did recover (it was not nearly as damaged). My Shinko pear, however, did not. This is very disappointing as I had ordered my last Shinko tree from Fast Growing Trees and it is very healthy and full, but was a bit more expensive so I wanted to try a new vendor. I wish I would have stuck to what I knew worked rather than wasting the money on this tree. Overall, I would not recommend. I have scratched the bark hoping for green, but it is not. Not sure if they just gave me a bad tree or what. Very upsetting.
