Excellent communication from Ty Ty Nursery regarding the shipment of my tree. Per my request, they even postponed shipping for two weeks to accommodate our winter weather. The tree came well-boxed with the roots wrapped and kept moist by their moisture granuals. The wrapping was difficult to remove, though. The tree itself looks in good and healthy condition, but the whip diameter seems small relative to the size of tree I ordered. Additionally, the root system is very meager, but I am hoping the roots will put out some hair roots, and that the tree will leaf out and start to build a better root system. I do have some very healthy shellbark hickory trees that are producing good harvests of nuts.
