I planted these four trees as soon as UPS dropped them off despite them looking rather dead out of the box… included compost into the soil mix, topped with mulch, and watered..by the next day the leaves were all brown and crumpled. We’ve been making sure to keep them watered and they look just as bad as day two. :(

It was so easy to get the grape vines I wanted- the site explains everything you need to do to grow them- prune and they come in perfect condition
They now been in the ground 1 week and life is sprouting on the “sticks” lol vines!!!

I ordered bare root trees the first time from TyTy, and they arrived in good shape and packaged well. That led me to be bolder and order shrubs and a potted tree. Big mistake. I ordered a 3 gallon tree, and it came with a root ball of about 2 quarts. My shrubs were all ordered as 1 gallon, and their root balls were less than a quart. I mean, I know about ‘growers gallon’ pots being about 2.6 qts, but this was a shock and a disappointment. It was clear that these had never occupied even a GG pot. Root balls were crowded and dense, too. The company says you’ll get de-potted, de-soiled plants for shipping economically, but they completely mislead about the size the plant ever reached, and charged enough for shipping to actually have included the proper size pots. It made these very expensive instead of relatively good value like I expected. And it means the shrubs can’t stay upright, because when they were planted in the ground, their root balls couldn’t hold them up. I had to stake them to keep them straight. I’ve ordered these from other sources (tea olive shrubs), and never had this issue before. The mulberry tree I ordered is supposedly fruiting size; it’s an embarrassingly small shrub that was filling a GG pot, not a 3 gallon as advertised. There is no way this thing will bear fruit for a while. The leaves are tiny and diseased looking. I’m hoping they fall off and new growth is better, but seeing that really upset me.
One star (or zero if I could give it) for their potted shrubs and trees, because of the deception and the condition of the plants.
Five stars for the bare root trees, which were exactly as described and leafed out fairly quickly.
Two stars overall, because I had a big order of potted shrubs and that tree, and the extent of the deception clearly outweighs the ease of obtaining good quality bare root plants. I’ve ordered bare root trees from several other sources that have almost all done well, so that doesn’t seem so difficult. But I have successfully ordered potted shrubs and trees from several vendors, so there’s no excuse for such a failure.

5 of the 7 Trees I purchased are dead including the 2 most expensive ones. The support people were helpful in replacing 2, but the other 3 arent dead enough yet to be eligible for warranty. I bought 5ft+ trees and as long as the bottom 6" still pass a scratch test I have to wait and hope. For the two trees we are replacing, we missed the growing season so I've lost an entire year as new trees won't ship until December. Even with the warranty, you are expected to cover shipping so replacing these dead trees still cost me $60+.
The 3rd person I spoke to was very helpful, but I'm going to have to wait for the other trees to die completely before I can warranty them, wait another year, and pay for shipping to replace. In the off chance they do survive, those 4-5ft trees will be 6" tall.
The variety is nice, but when you follow all of the recommendations and instructions only to lose 70%, I can't possibly recommend TyTy.

I have called many times concerning the tree’s I purchased and never have been able to reach anyone even after being on hold for 30-40 minutes at a time! I ordered trees and its the beginning of summer well what i received where basically twigs, they seem dead 💀, i planted them anyway and i dnt see much life in the trees. At this point i would just love a refund.

We ordered and received, at our home in New Hampshire, two chestnut trees. When I opened the box, the leaves on both were dried out. I immediately placed them in water, but it was too late. They were DOA.

I ordered three trees from Ty Ty this spring - a Braeburn Apple, Yoshino Cherry, and Appalachian Redbud. The Braeburn hadn't leafed out yet, so it established the most quickly. The Yoshino and Redbud had started to leaf out before arrival, and they did go into shock when planted, but it was my fault for not properly preparing the soil before planting them and digging them back up to amend the soil. I also should have ordered them earlier in the spring given that they are bare root. That said, the cherry is really leafing out now. The redbud, not yet, but it's not dead! Overall, I'm very happy. Ty Ty's definitely has the best prices out there.

I am still waiting to see
I called the day I got it and put that on my record so you didn’t think I hurt it
That it was all black
But I have planted it and hope it was just travel weary and hoping for the best
Will keep you posted

Overall, I am pleased. Six of seven grafts have green on them. Was expecting larger root formation on three year plants.

Shipping was fast and packaging was thoughtful. I ordered 3 trees, 2 grapevines and 2 blackberry bushes. Got everything in the ground the following day. It’s only been a week, but everything is looking great so far and I even have a few new buds. I’m super happy and will likely order more!

arrived quickly and appear to be in good condition. A little disappointed that they were bare roots but probably an oversight on my part for missing that in the description. Hopefully they will thrive. Thank you
