Heartstone Farm, My Favorite!

I started using Heartstone farm because I wanted a better quality of meats, grass fed without all the additives. And I can say I am well pleased so far, especially since I get 1lb of high quality chicken breast every month for free. Love this chicken, I like to cook it in a skillet with a lid so the chicken is moist and tender. Love it. If you are looking for a top source of meat I recommend Heartston Farm out of Maine, you can't go wrong.

Farmer Dan's Pork Chops

Not sure why, but these are the best Pork Chops we've ever tasted. Perhaps they raise them better in Maine?! What's the secret, Farmer Dan?

We have been ordering meat for over a year now and can really taste the difference from even the items we get at Whole Foods. We are now starting to also enjoy the fish options.

I have been purchasing my beef from Heartstone Farms for a few years now and cannot say enough about their products, their customer service or their packing expertise. I have not had any issues receiving my purchase in a timely manner and it always arrives frozen solid. I feel blessed to know where my meat is coming from and that it is from family run regenerative farms.

Premium Ground Beef

I have been purchasing products from Heartstone Farm for several years now and have been very pleased with their products. I recently received the 5 packs of grounded beef and have already consumed two of them. I use them for my meals as well as add some to my dogs’ meals. Heartstone Farm has a great variety of products, and great service.

I have not had an opportunity to taste any of the items in the box but I can comment on receiving the items. Delivery was outstanding. From the communication of when I can expect my items to the quick and efficient delivery to my door. Each item was vacuum-sealed and in a very well insulated box. There was still some dry ice remaining in the box, which means it was a very well timed delivery. Thank you. If the quality of the packaging and delivery is any clue to the quality of the meat I can't wait to try them.

The steaks are very good, the apple pie was tasty but I think it could be better with a bottom layer of crust!

Best Ham we’ve ever had.

First thing I noticed was this ham was not one big wet sponge. Any ham you get from the store her injected with liquid liquids. Second as we ate it we noticed that it was not overly salty. We’re a small family, but we were able to freeze enough for four more meals down the road. I highly recommend this ham. Very tasty.

Farmer Dan's Alaskan Sockeye Salmon

So, we made a version of Julia Child's Gravlax with the salmon. On a scale of one to five, it came out a TEN!

I tell everyone about Heartstone! I love the cuts and quality of the meats. The customer service it outstanding as well.

I am really impressed with Heartstone Farm. I placed an order for the Family Farm Box and to my surprise it came quickly in just a few days. Ordering was not complicated at all, simple and an easy process to complete. I also loved the discount when I ordered Nice! I have already recommended Heartstone farms to my family members, and to anyone wanting to save money and trips to the store.

I have defrosted one pack of chicken so far and it had a hole in the pack. Product shipped fast.

Food was delivered in time and frozen. I have not eaten any yet but it looks to be of good quality. Price is good for free range meat, as well.

Another great experience with Heartstone! This box we tried the homemade chicken pot pie and it was a huge hit with my family. We will definitely order again.

My fav quick meal!

The stew meat packs are wonderful. The meat is tender and delicious every time. Once a week, I throw a couple packs in the instant pot with veggies and have a delicious stew done in no time. My family loves it and it's a quick and easy way to feed my family the very best!

These chicken breast have a wonderful flavor. They are versatile as I use them in many different recipes. I also love the packaging because they are in packages of 2 so I only thaw out as many as I need for a meal. They also give me great peace of mind knowing I am feeding my family high quality meat with no added hormones.

We slow cook ours for stew and it comes out very tender. It is better than the stew meat. Great flavor.

Best Salmon I've Ever Had

This was outrageously good. The pinkest salmon I've ever seen, which is saying something because most commercial salmon has color added. I made it simple, baked in the oven with olive oil and lemon, my boyfriend and I both agreed it was the best salmon we've ever eaten!

Hearthstone Farms Ground Beef

This ground beef is very good, even without added spices. If you are hesitant, I recommend that you try it.

Wild Alaskan sockeye salmon

When I heard that Farmer Dan was considering getting some wild caught sockeye salmon, I got really excited! So I ordered some, and was very pleased with what I received. It looked beautiful. This is our first order from Heartstone Farms. The ordering process was easy, the shipping was on time, and the meats have all been very good. My concern is will the first box be the best cuts of meat and future orders be something less. I like the idea of supporting family farms but only if the meats are much better cuts than your typical grocery store. I had ordered the chicken breasts and there were delicious! I would order these again.

Meat came partially thawed. No dry ice left. If this was summertime, the meat would have been no good.

The Best in the East!

The breakfast sausage is amazing! Cook them on a sheet pan at 400 degrees for 19 minutes and they are perfect every time. You don’t even need to flip them. So tasty!

Great chicken.

I am a longstanding subscriber to Heartstone Farm. The chicken is always great. It is juicy & flavorful with excellent texture. You cannot get chicken like this in the grocery store. It does not leech liquid out of it when cooked. I feel that it keeps longer uncooked. My favorite part as mentioned before is the texture. It is a top notch product from a top notch company.

I've ordered the Ground Beef from Dan several times. Great for Burgers outside or one-pot meals.

I enjoy the chicken and beef, but find the bacon lacking flavor.

Chicken breasts tenders

Delightfully delicious. I have just used my chicken tenders in a chicken corn chowder! They defrost easily, cook up well and taste wonderful. It is always a relief to know that the food we consume has no artificial additives.

So far what we’ve had was delicious and we’re not disappointed. I wanted to delay my review until after we have tried everything. But I guessed it’s ok and see if we’re going to go ahead and put our next order

Arrived frozen

I absolutely love my box from Farmer Dan, Hearstone farms. I was already eating clean “grass fed” meats, free range poultry, etc & thought I had already experienced the best it can get. I however am blown away at how good all the meat & ready made foods like chili & soup have been. I was a vegetarian for 8 years, never loved meat, the meat from Farmer Dan has made me a meat lover & total fan. Thank you Farmer Dan!

Breakfast Sausage

I first tried the pork link breakfast sausages this morning, 1/3/26. It is very nice and mild. It has a soft texture. You don’t taste fillers and all the salt that they put into sausage links purchased at the local supermarket. The natural flavors of the pork naturally melts in your mouth as you eat it.
