This was a nice surprise

I have to say that the shipping was fantastic: everything showed up in a timely manner, packed well, and frozen. I only ever ordered chicken and beef. The chicken was great. The beef that was edible was tasty, but the cuts were horrible. I ended up with at least a third of every steak left on the plate because it was inedible gristle or silver-skin. Grass-fed is great, but this stuff was too expensive for cuts like that. If better cuts were available and I could customize my order rather than being on a cycle of railroaded cut options, I might have kept going.

Couldn't be happier

I’ve been looking for healthy chicken for a while now and came across Heartstone on the web. I ordered a pretty massive box of chicken and am so pumped about the order. The website will tell you about their sustainable and healthy chicken raising processes which has me sold, but on top of that, I’ve eaten the chicken breast and tenders so far and the flavor is incredible. The packaging was also well done with sustainable materials and it arrived within a week of my order. As someone who loves solo, I also appreciated the packages are in the one pound range so I don’t have to thaw too much meat at any given time and potentially waste what I can’t eat. I will definitely be buying my chicken from Heartstone from here on out.

Awesome Turkey Sampler

I purchased the turkey sampler and have been extremely satisfied with all of it. The turkey breast tenderloins are very tender and tasty. The ground turkey, both the ground breast and the ground dark meat cook us so nicely and have great flavor. The turkey sausage is so good. I love that there is minimal seasoning, yet it is very tasty. You do not need to add anything to it. It’s perfect just the way it is. I will definitely be purchasing again. This is high quality, moist, tasty meat. Not at all rubbery or bland.

Tasty and refreshing soup

This soup is just like I like it - flavorful broth, lots of vegetables, a bit of chicken for every bite, and just the right amount of rice. I am giving it 5 stars for taste. If I were to rate on value, I may give it 4 stars because it really is only enough for one person for a light meal.

Burger convenience 🩷

I have been ordering from the famous steak and burger online place from the Midwest. You know them. I love their meat. Dont get me wrong. I started this meat diet. Everyone talked about grass finished and fed beef in my forums. Never tried it. Then these guys popped up in my social media. They had a coupon. I said what the heck. Let me try it. I didn't think I would notice a difference. Because I eating good quality meat. I needed a meal quick. I opened up the 1/3 hamburger patty package. Fried me up some quick burgers. I could not believe the taste. This beef is fantastic. I seriously didn't think it would be a difference. But OMG. Big difference. Then i sat down and did the math. Compared the price with the Midwest place. They were practically thw same. But this beef was so much tastier. So I switched and bought a subscription. Im all in. Love it. I hope they dont get too big because I dont want anything to change about them. Great farmer. Great beef.

Best frozen pie I ever had!

We recently ordered from farmer Dan and have enjoyed all of the cuts of beef, pork , and chicken. All of his products are much tastier than anything we purchased from our supermarkets. His products are top notch and we look forward to trying new cuts!

A lean piece of meat for sure.

I like fattier pieces of meat. But this would be good probably marinated and then maybe tasty in the air fryer in kebab sized portions. I'll try that next time.

The BEST sausages

I am so picky with sausage I was even hesitant to add them into my box this month. These were full or flavor and cooked great in my pasta sauce. Thr skin was nice and tender after simmering away in thr sauce. Highly recommend!

short ribs

I braised the short ribs on sunday. They were delicous. I would prefer them to be a one bone square vs a 2 bone rectagle. The square is so much easier to brown. Also, your burgers have too big of a circumference for a 1/3lb. Its not enough meat to carry a bun of the same size. (kaiser bun) They are way to big for your standard american style bun and hang over the edge. Small circumference 1/3 lbers and large circumference 1/2 lbers.

Delivered Then Devoured

We love grilling sausage and cutting it up into bite size pieces and putting it out as an appetizer with various mustards and dips to choose from. The day our Heartstone Farm order landed, we put these sausage on the evenings menu and they were gone in a flash! So good with a great balance of heat and rich flavors. Going to double the order next time!

Great Flat Iron Steak

We thawed it, marinated it for a brief period and then grilled it at 600 degrees for 2 minutes a side to a temp of 130 degrees. Rested it for a few minutes, sliced it thin, and then served with rice and broccoli. Tender and great taste...will order it again.

The meat is of superior quality, is of a decent value (if you want to pay a little more than supermarket meat to avoid the poisons in it), and is delivered quickly. I will order again. My only less than stellar comment is that sometimes the steaks don't seam air sealed in the bags and may be subject to freezer burn?

We're big fans of Heartstone Farm, so when Easter rolled around this year we knew we had to buy the ham from Farmer Dan and friends. The quality, flavor, packaging, and even customer service tied to our order was outstanding. Everyone around the table was shocked at how delicious the ham tasted, after some were initially unsure as to why the ham wasn't that brilliant, nitrate-enhanced pink hue that you get from grocery store junk meat. I love making bone broth and, on a whim, decided to order some bones from Heartstone Farm - I made broth with these just yesterday and oh my goodness-- the gel it produced! Fantastic and so gelatinous. Very CLEAN tasting too. You can tell these bones are from well-raised cows. I won't make bone broth ever again without bones from 100% grassfed cattle.

Dayboat Scallops are delicious

I ordered the day boat scallops because I was sick of water soaked scallops. These were so delicious. I was excited that we could get day boat scallops without going to the waterfront. Thank you to Heartstone Farm for offering these to their customers. They are worth the money.

For dinner last night, we had a delicious roasted chicken from our stock up box and wow, it was fabulous! I was reluctant to buy this box as we've all kind of been "off" chicken for a while now. Well, not anymore! My husband remarked several times how good the flavor was and how tender, etc. It was! Chicken is definitely back on my weekly menu!
