Best turkey ever!

My whole family thought it was the best Turkey we’ve ever had. I always buy free range and organic so it wasn’t like we were comparing to commercial supermarket turkeys. It was up against the best and it won hands down. Moist with crispy skin. Delicious!

Vermont turkey

I ordered a Vermont turkey from Heartstone farm and was pleased from start to finish. Delivery was in a timely manner & it was solidly frozen. I took it to my family for Thanksgiving dinner & everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. We had never had a heritage natural turkey and the taste was very different from a processed bird from the supermarket. We made a soup from the bones & it was outstanding!

Fabulous turkey

We've been ordering our Thanksgiving turkeys from Farmer Dan for several years. They are absolutely the best tasting, juiciest, and most beautiful turkeys we've ever had, and we appreciate that we're serving natural wholesome food not tainted by antibiotics or growth hormones. For us, we're happy to pay the extra cost compared to a supermarket turkey.

We have been ordering from Farmer Dan for the last few years. Everything we have tried is so delicious and it feels so good to support a farm that is local and utilizes such sustainable and humane practices. We live on Monhegan Island, Maine and in the fall and into the winter our mailboat/ferry runs 3 days a week. I ordered some ground pork and frozen pies from Farmer Dan and it arrived at the Boatline in Port Clyde on Wednesday, but after the boat left. So, we didn’t receive it until Friday, the next boat out, and everything was packaged perfectly and still totally frozen! Thank you for your great service!

Ribeye steak

Oh my word, so tender and flavorful! I will not get it elsewhere! The steak is large enough for two to share, if you have other things to go along with it (veggies, sweet potato roasted piece, rice, asparagus). Really enjoyed this on the grill!

Yes, the meat is delicious. No argument there, but let’s talk about the packaging. I was a little afraid it wouldn’t fit in my freezer. But that worry was for nothing. It was packaged so well, it was still completely frozen upon arrival and fit, with space to spare, in the freezer!

I have had a chicken thigh meal from previous boxes which I used to make a chicken stew. With the recent purchase I received chicken tenders. They were the perfect size for this easy crispy baked chicken, the tenders were delicious and moist. I’m so glad I found this farm ❤️

I ordered a fresh turkey for thanksgiving. As promised, the turkey was delivered on time, properly packaged and with great instructions on how to prepare the turkey. When it was time to prepare the defrosted turkey, it was a clean bird with the gizzards properly stored inside. With the roasting suggestions on the provided instructions, my turkey was nice and juicy for all to enjoy !

Loved this turkey. Great flavor, we spatchcoked it and it was perfect. The skin was think enough that we vould dry brine it without piercing it. It arrived on schedule and was well packaged.

We got our first order from Heartstone last month. Everything is great! The first thing we made was chicken fajitas. The chicken was tender and juicy and the flavor was crazy good. We have also used the ground beef in a few recipes and couldn't be happier with the quality. You can certainly buy cheaper meat at the store but I'm terrified to eat anything that I can't trace back to a clean source. What you don't know can ACTUALLY kill you. Thank you for a quality product!

After trying a small sample package of steaks and burger, we were hooked. We purchased a quarter share last Sept/17. There is absolutely no comparison to grocery store beef. I never had a burger that tasted as good. Boneless Chuck Roast produced the best pot roast ever, brisket was corned and corned beef and pastrami were made, no comparison to store bought, if you're a steak lover we got T-Bones, Porterhouse, flank, ribeye, London broil. The package was splendid. I enjoyed dealing directly with the person who raised this wonderful beef. I would encourage all to try, this is the best beef I've ever eaten.

Our 16-1/2lb turkey (from Vermont, not Maine!) was perfectly packed and delivered as promised. Four days thawing in the fridge, it was ready to rub with sugar&salt, squirted with garlicky herby butter, and lowered gently into a turkey fryer. One hour later, she was lifted free and left to rest. Perfectly cooked with crispy skin, the meat was juicy tender and flavorful. Leftovers have become soup and sandwiches. Couldn't have asked for better.

Bring in the Bacon

This is delicious bacon. I used it in an Italian recipe along with potato and onions and it was delicious. Highly recommend.

perfect weekend dinner!

So simple…salt and pepper the skin, slide a bit of butter under the skin, set a thermometer in the thigh and pop it in the oven. I tucked carrots and turnips in the bottom of the roasting pan, and used the V rack for the chicken, so dinner was a one pan deal. Pulled the bird at 160* (thigh temp) and it was perfect. Half of the bird fed three adults, and we had leftovers all week. Yum

The meat is the way I remember eating when I was growing up in rural Michigan in the 1950s and 1960s. It is perfectly packaged and delivery is so reliable. I cooked the TBone steak, the ground beef and chicken thighs so far. The taste and richness of the meat is supberb. We loved our Heartstone Farm turkey! Juicy and delicious, it did not disappoint. But more importantly, Farmer Dan and the Heartstone Farm team averted a thanksgiving day disaster with amazing customer service. I received a text that my Turkey was out for delivery the week before Thanksgiving. Then I got a text that it had been delivered. I went to the front door, but no turkey. I went to the back door and still no turkey. I went to our neighbors but they didn't have our turkey. Then I looked at the proof of delivery photo from UPS and the porch where they left it was definitely not our porch. Obviously, I was concerned because we had a dinner to prepare the following week and I knew that the turkeys were in limited supply. So I called Farmer Dan and the team was fantastic! They shipped us a replacement turkey the next day and preserved our Thanksgiving meal tradition. Thanks to Farmer Dan and the team!
