The Turkey we had for thanksgiving went very fast with a big family. It was so tasty and just the right size for us.

Heartstone's Stew/Kebab meat is the most tender stew meat I have ever had!!!! We made Dutch Oven smothered beef with it and it literally melted in your mouth....delicious!!!!! If you haven't purchased any yet make it a top priority on your next order. YUM!!!!!!!

Great Steak! All I did was add salt, pepper, and a little bit of olive oil. I roasted slowly in a 250 degree oven until the internal temp was 120. Perfect Medium Rare. Thanks Dan!

Great Prime rib very tender and amazing taste!!

This one was challenging but only because we lost power and were on the generator for Christmas Eve. So here is the story of our Christmas Eve Heartstone Farm Prime Rib Roast, mistakes and all: I could not use our oven but could use my mom's ancient electric skillet roaster and our air fryer for side dishes. I had to call my sister to google the method for me since we also lost internet. So I trimmed the fat as instructed and probably went too far. Then I seasoned the meat simply with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. The instructions were to preheat and roast covered for 35 minutes then turn it off and leave for an hour. Did that and should have only roasted for 20 minutes due to the lower weight than used in the recipe since it over cooked, which I know is a crime for prime rib. Maybe one or two slices got some of that nice deep pink. It was still quite tasty with homemade horsey sauce, air fried pomp frites with homemade mayo aioli, and air fried Brussels sprouts. I'm going to use some of the leftovers to make a beef chili. Next time, I won't trim so much fat and will roast for a shorter time, depending on the weight...and hopefully use my oven! 5 stars because it wasn't the meat but the circumstances and me.

Dear lord! By my understanding, prime grade grass fed is not that easy to achieve, as the overall fat content in grass fed and finished beef is lower than that of its grain fed counterpart. This thing was dripping with fat! The marbling was incredible, but the texture and flavor of the fat does not lead me to think it's not grass fed/finished. This place is quickly becoming my go-to for awesome meat. We got our thanksgiving turkey here and even the kids came back for seconds. Awesome quality piece of meat from a pretty discerning customer. I've been blown away with everything I've ordered from here so far.

Best Burger ever! After eating Farmer Dans Hamburger I really notice a difference in taste and fat content compared to store bought burger. Your hamburger doesn’t have a nasty aftertaste like the grocery store. I am hooked!

We have a large extended family that gathered for Christmas celebration and the ham was our centerpiece meat. Gave it a slow smoker heat up, with a fig glaze and it was a rave. I've had many hams over my 68 years, but the flavor, texture, juiciness, and freshness of this ham, was like nothing I have had before! It was fabulous. Tender and the meat was marbled nicely. Juicy and very enjoyable. We will definately buy another next year. We cooked it smothered with compound garlic butter in a cast iron pan with quartered onion and bulb garlic with a little Rosemary and thyme sprinkled over it. It was heavenly. Thank you Farmer Dan we love your product and will be forever customers.

Absolutely delicious

Fast delivery, arrived fresh, still frozen and in perfect shape. I opened the box and all the fresh cuts were properly wrapped and sealed. I cooked right away the liver. Delicious and flavorful just the way I like it. Simple, sliced an onion, when transparent added the liver (highest heat cook top) and let it fry in plenty olive oil. Seasoned and ready to eat. Awesome! Thank you. Next one I’ll take a picture ;) and if you had it for dinner hope you enjoyed :)

We have been absolutely loving our delivery! Delivery was quick, and everything was perfectly packaged. The color of the meat is amazing, and you can see the quality even when it’s frozen. Every item that we have tried has been 10 times better than anything you can get in a grocery store. I’ve been telling all of my family and friends to give it a try! 10/10 recommend!

I am submitting a review because farmer Dan is offering a $10 coupon for reviews. I will never use this coupon because I would not order from Heartstone farm again. I ordered 2 turkeys from them as I have done with other places the last 8 years and Heartstone is the only place in 8 years to send both turkeys at the exact minimum weight stated. If I ordered tow 10-13lbs turkeys other places I have never once received an exact 10lbs turkey. 10.5 and 12.5 yes, but never both at the exact minimum. They said giblets would be included, but they were not besides the neck guess adding the other giblets may have put the turkey .1 oz over the minimum. This place is 100% about profits and not customer service maybe a "small farm"; but definitely big commercial farm mentality. I would definitely go to place like Circle C farm out of FL. White Oak Pasture among others over using Heartstone again.

I love Filet Mignon, but I found these filets were under whelming. First: They were small and shaped odd. Second: They had a strip of fat going down the center. Third: I thought they had mistakenly put stew beef in the package or steak tip. I'm a fan of Hearthstone farms meat, but not these underwelming filets. Update: I thawed the filets and cooked them. Delicious!!!!! I retract my previous review. These steaks were delicious, tender, and high quality. I will refrain from doing reviews in the future until I have thawed and tasted the product. I would order these again.

I had my Holiday box of meat sent to my Brother for his Christmas present and he was thrilled! Said I had filled his freezer with meat for the whole winter! Sadly, I will not be able to sample any of those delicious selections as they are inhabiting his freezer - not mine. I am looking forward to enjoying my next monthly selection at my house. This is the best chicken I have had in many years. I usually purchase organic chicken but never bothered to read whether it was pasture raised or not. I purchased the pasture raise spatchcock chicken and wow what a taste. It was delicious, tender and tasty just like years back. You cannot go wrong with purchasing chicken from Farmer Dan. The proof is in the taste.

It is a fairly seasoned sausage, but it lacks that heat I expect. If possible a third sweet heat would be ideal

Great meat! I cooked it in the oven for a few hours and finished on the grill. The bones practically fell out. So good!

I was born and raised in Philadelphia, so I consider a Philly cheesesteak to be haut cuisine. But, in the 40 years I have lived in Maine, I have not found any place that really makes an authentic one. So, when I have one it is generally when I make it myself at home. While I have always thought the shaved steak I bought at the local supermarket chains was okay, trying to find really good sub rolls was still a problem. So I ordered Heartsone Farms shaved steak for making Philly cheesesteaks at home. I used half of a one pound package. sliced it into smaller pieces, and dried it so it would sear and not poach in its own juices. I fried some mushrooms and onions, and put a couple pieces of provolone on the roll and heated it briefly so it would melt. I will try to attach the photo I took when it was done, but I put the cheese, mushrooms, and onions on the roll first so it wouldn't hide the steak in the photo. I found the shaved steak to be really flavorful, way better than what I had getting from the supermarket. It was also very tender, which isn't surprising because it is shaved so thin. Like it has done with its ground beef, Heartsone Farm has made the effort to elevate the meat for a simple dish like a cheesesteak. And, for my Philly-born taste, it shows in the finished product. Now, if only I could find decent rolls!

I pr ordered Heatsone Farm Organic Pasture-Raised Turkey on October 3rd. The notification was saying that the turkeys would be sent out on November 14th. On November 14th I received an email indication my turkey was sent out. The shipping time advertised was 3 business days and I did indeed receive my turkey within 3 business days. The turkey has arrived in a box which was secured with some recyclable material which has made me very happy because I like buying environment friendly items. The bird was solid frozen and I put it right inside the fridge. I started defrosting it 3 days before Thanksgiving. I brined for 24 hours and they I seasoned it before putting in the oven. It baked for a little over 4 hours, since my bie.rd was 16 lbs. The turkey baked so well and evenly. The meat was so soft and moist it was falling off the bone. I am used to getting a turkey from a grocery store so this year's turkey was very different. I could tell the difference how it tasted and also it's tenderness and moist flesh. I would definitely buy it again in the upcoming years. All my family members enjoyed it and I have received a lot of questions where I got the bird from.

Easy to cook, perfectly tender, amazing flavor!

We made a Cast Iron chicken over the weekend and all I have to say is "DELICIOUS"!! The quality of the chicken can be tasted - it was light in texture and very juicy and required LESS TIME to cook than conventional factory-raised chickens! I cannot wait to try my steak burgers next! I love and standby Heartstone; from their story as to how they raise their animals to how they pack the meats and the promise they make on tasting the difference -- and you certainly do! Occassional Chuck steaks n way too much tuna got me through my college years. Hadn't had any chuck steak in decades. The Steak Burgers are absolutely amazing! Unlike any burger we’ve ever had - full of rich delicious meaty flavor but not at all greasy. They don’t shrivel up when cooked so the result is yummy and satisfying. These burgers are a regular on our order list!

The most thoroughly frozen food item that I have been shipped by anyone! Extremely well packed. And, delivered on time when promised. I spatchcocked and dry brined turkey with Kosher Salt 48 hours. Turkey roasted perfectly, was delicious and moist. The skin was incredibly crispy. Price was a bit steep though. Heartstone Farm overall and their products rates 4.5 stars.
