The entire process was very quick! Nathan was my loan representative which contacted me within minutes of me putting in my application. My loan was approved in less that 24 hours, I received the loan documents immediately including all terms and new prospective monthly payment saving me almost half of my current payment. Everything was handled online/mailing in documents. Everything seemed to go smooth and I was told everything was good then one or two days later I'd be contacted saying they need more information or this has to be redone. It was more of an inconvenience but after returning the documents they requested I was finally able to complete the refinance. After everything was "completed" I still had some questions and tried to contact the agent I did the entire refinance with for a week straight and he would never answer or return any call or email, that was frustrating and what kept me from giving them 5 stars. I ended up getting in touch with someone else a week later and they resolved my issue. Overall not as smooth as I was expecting but in the end I did lower my interest rate and monthly payments a good bit. If I was in the situation again I'd probably look to other options first, but would use these guys if needed.

The whole process was pretty painless. I gave them a call and we discussed helping to lower my APR which was my main reason for refinancing. I liked what I heard and we went ahead and started the refinance process. My APR went down and so did my monthly payment so I am happy with the overall process.

They emailed me to advise me that they had received my documents, when I was missing something and if there was a mistake. Very fast and convinient. Everything was done by phone and via email. Smooth loan process. During part of the loan process my POA was "lost" in the mail but then discovered but not before going through the effort of having another one completed and mailed. The customer service is good, I do have a problem with the customer service representatives not calling back in a timely manner. The consumer is not always kept abreast of the situation. You rarely get to speak to the person that is assigned to your loan you always have to rely on the information from other customer service representatives. Overall good experience and I would recommend you to others.

My experience was okay. This company save me thousands off of the interest I was paying and was able to get my payments lowered. The process was very smooth.I was pretty upset though that I thought Open Road Lendings was my financial institution, but it was First Investors. When I called them they told me First investors lend them the money. Really??? I think they both want to make money off of me because before the payments they was offering me was even lower.

I filled out an online application with Regions for an auto refinance and next step was receiving an email from "OpenRoad" Lending. I was confused because I applied with Regions NOT OpenRoad. Well, I found out they're partnered so OpenRoad supplements the application/underwriting processes of the loan. OpenRoad had me scan and email more then 12 documents and then I had to physically sign and mail three documents. After mailing the requested documents - SURPRISE they emailed me and said they unexpectedly needed another document to be printed and mailed and this time they were unwilling to provide a shipping label. Now that the payoff check has been sent to the previous lienholder there is a $500 discrepancy in the payoff balance and the check that was sent. More than a month and a half after this refinance process started I am still dealing with it. The funny thing is that Regions online auto refinance application said nothing about working with a third party lender. The cherry on top is that I only consented to a hard credit inquiry for Regions and yet OpenRoad Lending still ran one. So now I have two hard inquiries on my credit for one loan. Unbelievable. OpenRoad Lending's sales/customer service has no idea what they're doing and are extremely difficult to work with. I highly recommend avoiding them at all costs. Even if it means sticking with your current lender and paying more interest on your loan.
