Second year in a row, I'm sending my daughter overseas in NY a birthday cake from 1-800-bakery.com and it's been great! Both cakes arrived on time and in perfect condition, looking exactly like they look online. Last year it was German chocolate cake (that I couldn't find this year), this time it was red velvet. My daughter and her friends raved about the cake, one of them even said that it was the most delicious cake she has ever ate! Wow. Waiting to do this again next year!

Product, price and service were all excellent, although I did not personally sample the product. It was a gift delivered out of town and the recipient said it was a good cake. Product delivered on time as well. Would look at using them next time for sure.

There was a delay in the cake being delivered on Saturday. I was not notified until Monday that the cake was not sent. They did call and leave a message from a number that I was not familiar with. After listening to the message i called the hotline and it was not an easy system. I left a message for the customer service before the end of business day Monday. The woman Diane who called back on Tuesday was very nice and cooperative, but I truly question the process of not being notified over the weekend or end of day Monday. We agreed to mail the cake. I then had to ask about the cost difference which was only 10 dollars for 5 day delay. The cake was awesome, but as a first time customer I did not feel the experience was a good one. I recommend an automated system informing delays. I also feel as a first time customer I have been informed of what the company was going to do to make up for it without asking. Processes can be tough and maybe this was unique situation with the holiday weekend. I would give them another try based on the cake quality.

I would definitely and strongly recommend the product without a doubt including the price tag for it. But I feel it would be more welcoming or appealing if the shipping price was less or 1/2 seemed too expensive or same as the product cost.

Bought as a opening night theater gift for High school boys. They loved the gift but the handwriting on the cookie and photo images were a little sloppy. In all fairness I think it may have melted in shipping. Service was great, super fast, and they liked it.
