Shame about the last km or 2 were pretty much up hill. Also the 10km start wasn't very clear. The warm up finished and the race very quickly started which put the start of the race a little unsettling.

Fantastic route, Southampton looked beautiful. It was amazing to run through the football ground...a unique experience. A well organised event and a brilliant day. To make it even better I would have liked to see more water stations, particularly before itchen bridge and a chance to get some fuel..maybe jelly babies. Also it would be good to receive a text or email with my result.

Fantastic event. Great route, well organised, well marshalled and with superb support. Appreciated the little touches like different medals and t-shirts dependent on distance. There were numerous nice touches throughout the event. If I were to provide some constructive feedback (not criticism of a superb event) it would be that; having entered the 1/2 M'thon the last two miles were spent picking my way through the slower 10km runners, many of whom were walking and taking up the width of the road. Not ideal when you're chasing a pb and on tired legs. Some full marathon runners I spoke to had the same problem with slower 1/2 runners. Maybe an even more staggered start would help. All in all a cracking event and I'll be back next year for the full 26.2 Many thanks

Really enjoyed the 10k race having completed the half marathon the previous 2 years. A slight negative was the start of the 10k was very cramped but this soon was better. The bridge was a challenge towards the end of the race and i preferred this earlier in the race last year.It was a shame the 10k did not go through the Stadium.

Running around 4hr marathon,I don't have any complaints at all. There were some areas on the course where the support was just unbelievable!I do think there's room for improvement, but just so happy to be able to run home town marathon that is greatly supported.

Fantastic event that was very well organised with great support from the town's population . A varied and interesting route with some lovely touches (football stadium, river, common, university, Itchen bridge). As someone who used to study and then live in the town many years ago, it brought back lots of memories as well as highlighting that although lots has changed a lot is still very familiar. My only disappointment was that my t-shirt did not have my mileage on it - was this a rogue one?
