Great support and very varied and good course! A bit of a warm day but nothing that can be done about it, well pleased with a fairly big PB that I was definitely chasing and seeing my hard training pay off. Not sure why the organisers couldn't find my race number (I was in the late entries group), though, it wasn't ideal but another one was issued to replace it, although without my name on the bib- but the main thing is a quick solution was found.
Something slightly annoying for the faster half marathon runners is that the slower 10K runners got on our way from mile 10 and we had to keep finding our way through them without slowing down, which wasn't ideal- perhaps a bigger time gap between the half and the 10K would help, say 45 mins instead of 30? But enjoyable experience overall- I would make the Erdinger at the end with alcohol, though! ;)

I ran the half marathon last year in 2016 and again this year (2017) and have to say the Itchen bridge at mile 11 was a killer - much preferred the 2016 route...however, excellent run and well organised and would recommend this run. thank you ;O)

Great event again. Very well organised and great support from public. Thought the baggage drop was worse this year. Previously they had tables with number categories on so you just found that and could sit down and organise kit. This time it was one huge queue which I had to leave half way through to sort gear out and then felt bad jumping back in. I also personally didn't like the reversed route. Hitting itchen bridge after 11 miles broke me physically and mentally and I had to stop for the first time ever running. I also liked the fact that last year you knew it was downhill from the common to finish line and could get a good sprint on. This year it was he'll from 11 miles on!

Completing my first marathon is my biggest life achievement. Fantastic route- though may suggest adapting it slightly for the marathon runners, rather than have two laps of the same course. Nevertheless a thoroughly enjoyable experience with great support from the public in certain parts. I hope to beat my time next year!

Overall enjoyed the race very much. So everything was good expect for minor aspects.
Some comments:
The maps we got with the bib didn't match correctly with the ones online.
One water station was not correctly indicated in the map.
It was terrible for half marathoners to catch up with the slowest 10k runners late on the race. I imagine it should have been hard for the marathoners too.

I found the race organisation was well planned, friendly and relaxed. The start was easy to get to and arranged in expected finish time.
Doing the lap twice was good to know exactly what was coming.
There were a few areas I think of for improvement: As the half(13.1) and full(26.2) marathon ended in the same place then the mile markers should have been 0.1 miles apart, instead try were together eg Mile 6/19. Also the mile markers were not spaced out correctly, some being 0.9 miles, some 1.1 miles. Also when on my second marathon lap I had to overtake a lot of slower 10k runners which became a little dangerous at times as a lot had headphones in and were slowing down/speeding up irregularly. Also could we not have the Itchen bridge next year, or make it part of the first part of the race?
All in all though, great day and got my PB, plus love the Alcohol Free **** at the end!

I loved the day from start to finish, races were timed well so that I could see the marathon runners start before getting ready to start myself on the half. Great route, marshalls were encouraging and kept an eye on everyone, I saw them co ing to the aid of some unfortunate few dry quickly. The motivators were incredible and my pacemaker was spot on. I ran the half with a smile on my face, the support of the city was incredible. I can't wait for next year

A well organised race, extremely encouraging marshalls on route. Only negative points being the confusing map issued with the race numbers, it had the bag drop off incorrect and the start wasn't clear either! The lapping marathon runners needed much more assistance with outriders clearing their way on a course also being used by half marathoners. In future a greater gap between the start times would be wise, full marathon at 8am, Half at 10am and then the 10k at 10:30am
