I had to upgrade when my WS-1001 console died. This connected automatically to the sensors, which was great. My issue is that compared to the WS-1001 console, many of the data are hard to read unless you get very close up to the unit … like hourly rain rate, monthly, etc. are all in tiny type. Even the feels like temp, humidity and dew point readings are in small type. Surely these are as important as wind speed, which takes up a lot of space? So from a legibility standpoint, the WS-1001 was far superior. A lot of visual real estate on the WS-2002 is taken up by the arc showing the sun’s movement, but I’d gladly trade this gee-whiz thing for some easy to read type on the other data. My sense is that this console display was designed for “design’s sake,” and not for real data-at-a-glance functionality.

Hi, I purchased a WS-2902A from November 2019 as a Christmas gift for my husband and he has loved it. My recent purchase was of the WS-2902 array, to replace the original one that was damaged. It was very easy to connect the new array to the existing console and it is working great.
