The weather station is everything I expected. It is replaced an older WS1900 which had lasted several years. It was difficult to set up, but a 1 hour session with a competent and friendly technician solved all the problems and set up internet access.

My first Ambient was destroyed by hail. I bought this one because there were no replacement parts for the old one. This one has replacement parts and was easy to set up. My problem is trying to get the dashboard set up on my computer and phone. I am a senior and your customer service was no help...

The WH31E is a fantastic add on sensor. It arrived well packaged, and setup was very easy. The instructions are very clear on what to do for a pain free installation. In my case, this was my first add-on sensor, so all I had to do was install two batteries and done. It automatically connected to my weather station and began reporting the AWN app. My sensor is in a thick walled safe on the other side of the house on a different floor and has no issues reaching my weather station. Your mileage may vary based on distance and building construction materials. A GREAT SENSOR AT A GREAT PRICE.

I don’t know why the old power adapter died, but the replacement works fine.

With my WS-1001 no longer serviceable I purchased the WS-2902. It was easy to put together and set up and I like the separate modulas. I had difficulty connecting to my already existing Wunderground account, but was finally able to connect.

Reliable and easy to set up. Display screen has too much crammed into such a small screen. We purchased the optional additional display that has a much easier screen to see from farther away.

What a great addition to our farm. Love the app and the hardware. Very well made. On the downside was the customer care or lack of. Called to ask for help and customer care rep was very impatient with me. I still give Ambient a 5 star.

23 Days Online so far and I love the new weather station; it's a worthy replacement for my old Acurite station that stopped working a year ago. After much contemplation on what I wanted from a weather station, one critical component stood out: I needed the ability to collect and access data locally without having to rely on cloud services.

One of the other compelling reasons I opted for this Ambient weather station was its compatibility with additional Temperature and Humidity (T&H) sensors. Having a 1/4 Beef and 1/2 Hog sitting in Deep Freezers and 2 Refrigerators in my setup, I've always worried about failures and heard horror stories. I decided to take a leap and bought a few extra T&H Sensors so I can get temp's inside these appliances. By using the Extra T&H Sensors, I could monitor the conditions within my freezers and refrigerators and integrate the local data into Home Assistant. This allowed me to set up custom alerts, ensuring I'm promptly notified if any freezer's temperature starts to rise unexpectedly - for instance, due to the door being left open, compressor failure, or a tripped breaker.

However, I must admit that I encountered a few usability issues that could be improved. Firstly, I wish the weather station offered a Web UI for local input, such as the ability to rename T&H and other sensors. This would have made the configuration process much more convenient and faster. Instead, I had to navigate through their tablet interface, which was functional but not as intuitive as I had hoped. A Web UI would streamline the setup and management of the sensors.

Another improvement would be updating the keyboard on their tablet to a QWERTY layout, as it's a more familiar option for most people. The current keyboard setup made renaming the T&H sensors a bit cumbersome and time-consuming. Implementing a QWERTY keyboard would greatly enhance the user experience and save time during the setup process.

Additionally, some of the navigation within the tablet interface could be made more logical, perhaps by adding labels to buttons to make them more descriptive and user-friendly. This small adjustment would improve the overall usability of the system and make it more intuitive for users.

Despite these minor criticisms, the Ambient weather station remains a great product overall, and with a few tweaks, it has the potential to become a stellar weather station. Its accuracy, local data collection capabilities, and the additional sensors for monitoring other things like Freezers make it an excellent choice for weather enthusiasts like myself.

If you're looking for a weather station that offers local data collection and accurate readings, I highly recommend giving this one a try.

The best customer service couldn't find a part and withing 15min of submitting a ticket I got a quality response.
