Great system. Easy to install.

Very good quality. Easy to set up. Fast shipping. Has been running a month with no issues. Love the phone app.

Had Davis before, this is fantastic!

Incredibly impressed with the high quality of the Ambient Weather WS-5000 station; it exceeded my high expectations after years of owning Davis Vantage Pro and Pro2 stations. Super-simple setup and really intuitive user interface as well as more precise data-collection. Big fan!

Works perfectly! Thank You

A great weather station for the money. Pretty easy to set-up and install. Lots of weather data to see on the excellent display. I love the remote weather viewing through their free app. Note: This weather station is replacing my 24 year old Davis Instruments Vantage Pro (mostly because I can't get parts anymore).

Pros:
+ Great value
+ Appears to be well made
+ Remote viewing through their free app.
+ Lots of add-on sensors available
+ Excellent and intuitive display on the Wireless Console
+ Ability to calibrate all of the data

Cons:
- No easy way to view long term data (by the month or year like with the Davis Instruments WeatherLink Software reports)
- I had to modify the rain sensor mount to have it mount correctly with the ultrasonic sensor assembly. Easy work around with a small piece of thick rubber.
- No battery back-up for the display (which receives the data from the various sensors). My work around is to plug the display into my Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS).

Overall - I'd buy it again in a heart-beat. Great value for the money. With a some minor improvements it could be the perfect hobby weather station.

Enjoying my new weather station

Display text is too small to read from across the room. Should be customizable with widgets that can be placed anywhere on the screen.

a definate improvement over the A version

I am enjoying my weather station. It arrived quickly and well packaged. I had no trouble setting it up and getting it connected to my wi-fi.

So far so good. Assembly was easy and everything linked immediately to the console without issues. The extensive menu of the console takes a little bit of time learning how to navigate through, but after a few attempts I managed to figure it out. Ambient's website has additional information when used in conjunction with the user manual make understanding and setup a bit easier especially when connected to AmbientWeather.net and Weather Underground. Can't speak to reliability at this point, but so far no issues. Happy with this purchase.

Easy to install and operate, wish the display were a little bigger.

I love my 2902, now upgraded to a “D”. Even my anti technology leaning wife loves it, and has come to depend on the information it provides.

Great product, easy to set up.

compact and great design

So far so good...big storm in NH about 8 inches of snow so and still falling. Lost wind speed and direction about 1100 pm. my sensor is holding snow, wet, heavy, sticky snow. not surprised though. performance on all other measurements are perfect.

The second console I bought works great in the bedroom and I love the way you can actually turn off the backlight.

I got this unit for the outside instrument cluster because it was cheaper than the replace cluster alone. It has been nice to have the second console for use in other rooms.

Everything works great! Easy to set up.

Great product. I highly recommend it.
