My weather station base unit went blank a few weeks ago. I checked the power supply and it was. OK then I determined it was a heat related problem with the weather station. I put it in a gallon bag and put it in the freezer overnight. iThe next day I let it thaw
out for a few hours, plugged it up and it worked fine. It’s been a few weeks and it still is working great. So now I guess I have a spare unit, a new one that I have ordered.

Short power cord

Ambient Weather Network Weather Window
Well it works the power chord is way to short to put it up high enough to see across the room. I still like the RainWise a little better. I have bought 3 of them now one had a white power chord that was ok. The other 2 had black power cords that were very short. I'm only able to read the largest square displayed from across the room.
I bought the Weather camera plan on putting up 2 so i can see sky's NW & SW that is where our bad storms come in from. Hope they get back to me I ask about power cords so I have a way use them without an extension cord. It has been 3 weeks now and have not received a email or call. I guess it is time to call and be put on hold or leave a message .

Ambient Weather WS-5000 Ultrasonic Professional Smart Weather Station & Thermo Hygrometer
I’m still learning all the ways to utilize it. I’ve had the 2902 previously for many years and needed something to endure some fierce winds here so went for the 5000.

Ambient Weather WS-2000 Smart Weather Station with WiFi Remote Monitoring and Alerts & Thermo Hygrometer
I had a ws2902 for many years and the wi-fi module in the console seemed to have failed. I decided to upgrade to the 2000. It works well and appears to be extremely accurate. The downside for me is the readability of the console. The display has too much information. This requires smaller numbers and digits across the entire display making it harder to see from across the room.

I had to ask for support setting up the connection and all works as expected. I wish the console was twice as big.

Ambient Weather WS-2902 Home Weather Station with WiFi Remote Monitoring and Alerts & Thermo Hygrometer
I have tried other weather stations in the past with poor results. My concern was not being able to get onto the Internet with Starlink. Once I figured out that you had to actually plug the console into the wall socket as opposed to relying on the batteries, everything worked perfectly. No issues with Starlink.

Great Product but Some Issues

Ambient Weather WS-5000 Ultrasonic Professional Smart Weather Station & Thermo Hygrometer
My previous WS1002 lasted nine years. With the new WS5000, I had assembly problems with the sensor mounting arm. Customer Service sent a new arm that solved the issue. Now, I'm having fluctuating sensor signal strength. First troubleshoot is to reset. I'm hoping for the best. Otherwise, I like the solid state anemometer - very sensitive and responsive. Temperature readings seem to be right-on. Too cold for rain!
