I bought this unit to replace my 2902A because my array had failed after many years of great service, so the installation was quick and easy. Ambient makes the setup so easy that I had the new unit online in minutes. I was also able to take advantage of the included additional Temperature and Humidity Sensor to monitor my crawlspace and a bonus is I can use my 2902A display as a second display on the new setup. Ambient Weather makes great products and they provide great service when needed!

it seems to be working i dont see any birds on it

Very nice!

Easy setup, works great, very accurate, easy to see online all weather parameters.

Replaced old one with this....works great and easy to hook up.

Seems like a nice system. Not sure about the accuracy of the hygrometer though.

We had a much older Ambient station that has given good service but wanted a more comprehensive one, so we chose this model. It has a clear display, 2 remote sensors for humidity and temperature, a radio controlled clock, another thermometer and hygrometer in the station, and barometric pressure.

The readings are consistent and match our older unit. The display is clear and easy to read. You DO need to use the AC adapter if you want the display illuminated all the time, and it's difficult to read with the backlight off.

The only issue I've had is setting the barometric pressure to calibrate it. I've gotten used to mm of hg so had selected that unit of measure. When I went to set the pressure (which was about 1020 at that time) the value would start at about 500 and I could go up to around 800 and then it would loop back to 500. Since it has a decimal point and increments at .1 units per click this took forever to discover.

I got the idea of setting the units to inches of mercury and setting it while in that format, then switching it back to mm of hg after it was set. This worked.

If there was a better way to set it, the instructions didn't cover it.

Otherwise we are very happy with this unit.

Xxx

Once I put up the two poles (1 for sensor and 1 for rain gauge) the install went quickly. Station was up and running and all sensors were providing maximum signal strength. I did order the bird spike kit for the rain gauge. The instructions for that item could probably be clearer. For instance, how many "bands" to place on each metal zip tie for the rain gauge. Can't think of any other cons!

Works and looks great.

The bird spike works as advertised, keeping the birds off of the rain gauge.

Exactly what we needed. Easy to install. Works great.

Great service, recieved and after 2 years my wx station is fully functional now.

Easy to install. Works as advertised.

Much better than my old station from Acu

The site was easy enough to navigate. The duplicate emails (order confirmation and then invoice) made me wonder whether I had mistakenly ordered twice. That could be improved.

Need help getting connected to the wi.fi.

The Install documentation needs updating. Weather station will not install from awnet app without turning off WiFi Assist on iPhone. This is documented in https://ambientweather.com/faqs/question/view/id/1818/ Note #5 under iPhone Setup, but it needs to be ink the install instructions as well.

Arrived on time, perfect fit, works great!

Works perfectly. New rain gauge tracking actual rainfall very well.
