Always wanted a weather station and decided on Ambient based on reviews and reputation. Setup was easy and love being able to monitor my stats remotely. Alerts work pretty well and the remote sensor is great for monitoring temp and humidity in my greenhouse.

Range was good not great. I have been having problems with other weather stations loosing contact and not giving reports at around 300'. While setting the WS-5000 unit up I tried it near my barn at just over 600', it did report but the signal was weak. I did set the unit up at my fence line where the other stations are at. It is about 350' from the house through a thin tree line and has been reporting great since I set it up a month ago. The other stations have been in and out during that time. I was also able to set up a thermometer in the barn ,about 600' away from the house, which reports to the WS-5000 so I can monitor the barn temperature to help keep the water pipes from freezing.
So far I really like the WS-5000 and would recommend the purchase of it.

Great!

Easy to install, and the data is interesting. I haven't had it long enough to give more of a review.

Installation was easy, although I did not realize it was best to mount the rain gauge on a separate pole until I received the unit. I upgraded from the WS-2000. The difference in wind speed reporting is amazing. I've had the WS-5000 installed for a couple of weeks, I am very pleased!!

Shipping was quick and videos on website made it easy to install. Use your phone to line up the compass on the weather station accurately.

The AQ sensor is what I wanted to complete my pws although more expensive than what I wanted. Thanks Ambient.

Synced up smoothly with the outdoor unit. Works great. Is in our living room, outdoor unit is on the fence in our back yard.

Works well, is accurate. The light at night is a not too bright for bedroom. Could use an off switch for light.

This is now my second of two Weather Stations. My other is a Davis VP2 that has served me for nearly 15 years. I'm not unhappy with it but wanted some things that the VP2 doesn't offer or are too expensive - like additional temperature/hygrometer sensors and a lightning detector.

I really like the WS-5000 Ultrasonic anemometer. I'm not sure how long it'll be before I have to clean it a little but spinning cups tend to get spiders in them skewing readings.

I also really like having the rain collector separate from the monitoring station. I can mount it anywhere accessible. I would really like if the ultrasonic anemometer were the same. I would rather have that mounted on my roof for better readings.

As far as I can tell the readings are pretty accurate as compared to my VP2. Temps are about a degree or so apart despite being about 12 feet apart. I know a guy that always wore at least two watches that were never exactly the same time being off by as much as seconds. I used to tell him that with only one watch I always knew exactly what time it was while he was never sure.

I'm very happy with the WS-5000 and its capabilities.

Easy setup, seems to work well. I like that the rain meter is separate. Data is a little delayed and averaged of course, its digital. Graphs are done well but viewing depends on cloud connectivity. Compatible with IFTTT but I find thats too unreliable. HomeKit compatibility would make it perfect.

The wh31p works great so far. I have only had it a month. I am very pleased.

I like the added feature of the lightning detector and the sensitive settings.

Operation and accuracy are great. Would get five stars but there is no way to set it up except from the console. If there was a phone app or even if they old ready weather windows program would work after you get wifi connected it would be just about perfect

Easy to install and worked right away!

Easy set up! It’s working and we love it!

I love my new WS-5000. Accurate and easy to use. The large variety of optional sensors is a real plus.

Will try it when the frost is out of the ground. Reviews look good. I want to monitor moisture in my alfalfa field and in my lawn. Will add a few more as time goes on.

***Excellent***
