Works great

Great customer service

Purchased directly from Ambient, arrived on time. Set up was fairly easy, if one needs to reset one of the modes you have to start from the beginning, but once I caught on, it was a snap. Had a rainy day .33” 😲 we live in the desert. Had a very windy day as well, was interesting to watch the changes. The screen is easy to read from accross the room, must be at eye level to see the readings.

I am still unable to utilize certain aspects of the station. Directions not always clear. Overall I do like the station.

Took a while for it to completely set up. Now working just fine.

Works! Not too difficult to install. Colors on the monitor are a bit much. Dark background with white numbers would have been fine for me.
Would like more options for temp min and max. Ex min & max for 24 hours, a week, a month, a year.

This weather station is a true workhorse. Easy to order, easy to setup, it just works. Totally good.

how do I know that it is working. should have a indicator light on the transformer or better yet, the wind sensor..

This was just a replacement part that I lost somehow. What impressed me was how fast they shipped it. Wasn't expecting that. Thank you!

i already reviewed this about a week ago.

Thanks for your review at Ambient Weather

Really great weather station. A bit difficult (for me) to set up but really works well. Glad I purchased

There are some changes I’d make. 1 I want to have a running rain guaging. Not just from 12 to 12. That makes me lose the amount for the last 2 hours of the day. 2. I’d like to know the hottest and coldest temperatures that occurred during the day, not just when I glance at it. These readings were available on my old system and I miss them

Great weather station !! I should have ordered the cellphone adapter so i could use the remote....

A good weather station for the money. Easy to set up and accurate.

I did a lot of research before choosing the WS-2000, and this station exceeds my expectations. Setup was quick and easy. I had no trouble connecting to Wunderground and Ambient Weather's network. Advanced features, such as being able to update the console firmware, are a nice bonus. I'm a CoCoRaHS precipitation observer so I appreciate the ability to set October as the beginning of my Rainfall Season and 8:00 AM as the time to Reset Daily Rain. The ability to add up to 8 extra sensors - and rename them appropriately - is really handy. Now I know the temp inside my freezer, and I get an alert if it goes above a temp I define. Alerts are configured in my account at ambientweather.net, and also in the very functional Ambient Weather app (I use the iOS version). For some reason the app doesn't get very good reviews but I think it's excellent and feature-full.

A few suggestions:

1) Be sure to configure WiFi before connecting the console to wunderground.com or ambientweather.net. Although there's a note about this early in the manual, the manual is not organized in setup sequence.

2) It took a lot of digging to learn how to calibrate the WS-2000's rain gauge against my CoCoRaHS gauge, but they're now with 0.01" of each other. The info in this link should be elaborated with more examples and added to the main WS-2000 FAQ: https://help.ambientweather.net/help/how-do-i-calibrate-the-rain-gauge-observerip-series/ The calibration steps are the same even though this blog posting is for a different station.

In summary, the WS-2000 is an excellent weather station. If you use an iPhone I highly recommend purchasing the "myPWS" app. It's worth every dollar and allows me to create fast, detailed, exportable graphs of my station's data. A useful but free alternative is the "PWS Monitor" app.

Here's the CoCoRaHS home page. Consider joining! https://www.cocorahs.org/

This station was easy to set up, easy to use and gives me far more usable information than my previous more expensive weather station. It is also very accurate. On top of all that, Ambient customer service is excellent!

It works. Just hope I never need it.

100% enjoying the weather station. One week after we placed our weather station outside, our No Cal town received 9.86 inches of rain in 36 hours. We had 'fun' watching and reporting the rain event (amount) rise on the console. This is a great gift idea too.

Easy to set up. Good up to the minute data.

Ordered a new head unit for my weather station under the upgrade program and received a $25 discount which was ~ half the cost once they received my old unit. Good deal and great unit!
