Ambient Weather WS-2902 Smart Weather Station with WiFi Remote Monitoring and Alerts & Thermo Hygrometer
After doing research and going through numerous reviews I decided that after years of frustration with Acurite and LaCrosse I decided the price points to performance, without breaking my piggy bank, with the Ambient 2902C was the best option. It arrived quickly and was packaged well. Assembly was intuitive and quick. Purchased directly from Ambient included an external outside sensor that brought down the price below that on Amazon. You must follow the instructions closely and exactly for connecting to the WIFI and internet when using an Android device. I had to start over from the beginning and the second time was a charm. Now on Ambient Weather and Weather Underground. so far so good.

Ambient Weather WS-5000 Ultrasonic Professional Smart Weather Station & Thermo Hygrometer
I upgraded from a WS-1200-IP that I got about four years ago and it's like going from a flip phone to a smart phone. The WS-5000 is much quicker, sleeker, and works over wifi right out of the box so you don't have to purchase and set up anything else in order to report to Weather Underground, etc. I added the lightning detector and am impressed by how well it works. If you're on the fence, just buy it already!

Ambient Weather WS-2000 Smart Weather Station with WiFi Remote Monitoring and Alerts & Thermo Hygrometer
Found wifi difficult to set up. Still working on it so I can access from my phone. Also, description of some elements of the main console not clear i.e. what does am pm under the w/hr and uv/index mean. What does the event refer to under the rain monitor display. What time interval does it represent.
