I ordered the WS-2700 kit plus two extra sensors and the AC adapter. The items arrived in good condition and were easy enough to set up because I read the included instructions. There was a problem with the sensor included with the kit and it wouldn’t sync. I called support and was asked to fill out the web-based form for a replacement sensor. This arrived in a few days and joined the other two sensors immediately. The desktop unit was easy to read and included useful information.
I thought it would be fun to share the information with my son and shopped for an identical unit for him. However, as he has an aquarium and is planning a small backyard pond I looked a bit longer and decided the WS-3000 (includes a smaller, color desktop display, AC adapter and 3 sensors, can read up to 8 sensors AND can be synced to a Windows computer) would be a good choice. I added 2 sensors for wet applications and ordered it. It, too, arrived in good condition. We set it up at his house and all 5 sensors work well. In fact, he discovered his aquarium is too hot and he’s adjusting the temperature.
I like the WS-3000 so well that I returned the WS-2700 within the 30-days trial period for FULL CREDIT and will order another WS-3000 for myself. This is not to say the WS-2700 is deficient in any way. It’s a great unit and works well. I just want more data. If you just want to see the temperature/humidity on your desktop, and one other location (in your attic, or an outside shed) this is the kit for you. Add up to 2 more sensors for more locations.
I would give the WS-2700 5-stars if the original sensor had worked out of the box and, after thinking about it, the added two sensors may have contributed to its inability to sync.
I ABSOLUTELY give 6-stars to support.
PS. I checked at a VERY LARGE online vendor for competitive pricing and Ambient.com has the best prices for extra sensors when purchased with a display unit.

Excellent system!

Works great. I put the sensor on the back fence 15 feet from the house station. To my surprise the one in the garage also saw that sensor from 22 feet away and it works fine also.

Work just as I needed. Long range, goes through wood and stone wall without issue.

This funnel needs to have a better locking mechanism, the wind has blown it off and it was lost, hence my need to replace it.

My only complaint is that the Mount didn’t come with it.

Put a sensor in my greenhouse and can see when and count how many times the gas heater runs, also the high and low of the last day wish I had this year’s ago

good job

The unit was easy to install and set up so far it seems to be great.

Nice

The lightning detector works very well!

I have had the WS-2000 for four months. I really like the display and all the information it gives including the date and time stamp. It seems accurate when compared with other weather stations in the area. The only complaint I have is that the hygrometer only reads down to 10%, which I knew when I bought it. That probably doesn't matter in most parts of the country but here in the desert southwest it commonly drops into single digit humidity. Not enough to take off a star but that would make it a great little weather station.

I upgraded from the 2902, and this new station is better in many ways. It sets up very easily, and the free extra outdoor temp/humidity sensor was nice to get. I've added the soil moisture sensor and the lightening detector. The app look is basically the same, but the HUGE improvement is the display console. The 2902 could only be seen from one angle, and so I couldn't read it if I mounted it on the wall, above eye level (in bed). The new one is easy to read from all angles, and so is now on the wall. Also, it has a setting that turns off the display according to a schedule you make, so it is not super bright at night, but I have it turn on as we wake up. Love it.

Works great with my Vantage Pro 2

Works well, easy to setup

I had a funnel that came with the weather station but I ordered the spare funnel so I could add some serious bird spikes and allow time for the glue to dry. The spikes in the bird spike kit were not long enough.

Nice update of this product. The ability to add extra temp sensors is Great!

So far, so good! The setup wasn't overly complicated, but it did take some focus to make sure I was doing things correctly. I appreciate the ambientweather.net integration.

Well designed unit and good instructions for usage. Only change is I wish it had a "record high/low" option in the display or on the dashboard.

Working great. Easy to install.
