Ambient Weather WS-4000 Solar Powered UltraSonic Wi-Fi Weather Station
The device is very easy to set up but you need to get used to the various button clicks to configure the console. It would be great if there was an app to configure the console remotely (or a browser link).
The one thing that disappointed me was putting the WS-4000 on a pole. I was upgrading from a WS-1400 which I had mounted on a 1” thick pole but the WS-4000 wouldn’t fit on the same pole even though the specs says to use a 1” pole. The thickness of my current pole was just too wide. I had to buy a 3/4” pole and did a couple wraps of duct tape to secure the device. Otherwise, everything is good and working properly.

Ambient Weather WS-4000 Solar Powered UltraSonic Wi-Fi Weather Station
We had a power outage the other night due to some severe weather. Since the displa does not have battery backup, we couldn’t track wind and rain. And I had to reset the rain gauge type after the outage. The paperwork that comes with the station lists the type of rain gauge as haptac where the display lists it as piezo. Rather confusing, don’t you think? You really need to address both of these situations.
All in all, I did another station for a different location.

Ambient Weather WS-5000-ARRAY Replacement Ultrasonic Anemometer, Outdoor Thermometer / Hygrometer, Solar Radiation and UV for
Works great, however the instructions for setting it are inadequate and incomplete, they completely skipped necessary steps required for linking it to an older existing system. They did not mention that the existing system required a firmware update. Without that update it cannot be linked. I only found out about that by watching many YouTube instruction videos posted by other Ambient Weather station owners.

Ambient Weather WS-2000 Smart Weather Station with WiFi Remote Monitoring and Alerts & Thermo Hygrometer
I replaced our old WS-2902 outdoor unit with the WS-2000 as our old one got damaged. I like the display of the WS-2000 but I do miss the dual power battery and AC adapter on the old WS-2902. A nice bonus is that the old display works with the new outdoor unit so we now have two displays in the house.

Ambient Weather WS-2902 Home Weather Station with WiFi Remote Monitoring and Alerts & Thermo Hygrometer
I had the previous one for about five years, and in the last year it took a beating. I had it mounted on a pole fastened to a privacy fence that had a section blown down, and the weather station array crashed on thee roof. That happened twice. Of course the new one is perfectly very well. I have noticed the outdoor temperature sensor in this newer unit is not nearly as sensitive to heat from sunshine, which would give very inaccurate displays. And it was like that before the crashes.
