This is a very accurate rain gauge.

This AC adapter is an exact replacement for the original. When the original failed, unbeknownst to me, it was causing the display on my station to constantly flicker and make a chirping sound. I plugged in this new one and problem solved.

Replaced a 20-year old adapter and brought my WS-1200 display screen back to life! Old adapter was probably damaged by repeated power outages. Sensor array is still working great! Amazing after 20 years!

Age and weather damaged by wind cups, allowed the unit to jump off the shaft and travel downward 21' to the dirt. Now a two-piece plastic scrap. Ordered the replacement on a Sunday evening, it arrived in my box on Tuesday, so up and running before noon. Great service, wonderful weather station since 2019.

excellent product

The only drawback is the console is in the basement and the sensors are in the roof. Is there any way I can make the signal to reach the basement?
Can I use an external antenna?

Adapter works perfectly.Previous one came with my weather station and lasted 4years 3months until a storm came by and I think a surge burnt it out. Purchased a surge protector for the new adapter and it will probably be great from now on.

So far, so good. Seems to keep the birds off.

I’ve only had the weather station for a couple of weeks maybe a month. So far so good with the hardware. They set up instructions and tech-support are another story. I tried to connect to weather underground, and it was like pulling hens teeth. First The set up instructions wanted my e-address and needed to verify it. I entered the address and ambient weather software never verified it so could not send me the set up instructions. The next problem was the MAC address. I know that this is very important For computers to talk to each other. So when I entered the MAC address from the set up software, I checked and rechecked before I clicked OK. I thought with the set up for about two days with no luck. I finally called tech-support and we got things straightened out. Turns out the MAC address that I entered, got corrupted by the time it got to ambient weather. The tech-support guy informed me that I had entered the Mac address incorrectly. I told him that I had checked and recheck and it was a foul up at their end. He said no, it wasn’t.

So at this point the month old hardware seems to be working but tech support leaves a lot to be desired.

So my weather station stopped recording rain accumulation. Took it down a found that the funnel for it was gone! Gone!! Went online, found it easily, cheaper than I thought it would be and quick delivery. Rain gauge works! I just wish I knew where the lost funnel went!!

Easy to assemble seems to work great.

Takes a little bit to put together. So far so good.

Works fine but I had to pay for it because the adapter that I had less than a year quit working. I turned in a request to get it replaced under warranty but never heard back from support.

Huge step up from an all in one from a big box. Much more data than a basic console, and I’m looking forward to the wind reading not freezing up in a heavy snow like a spinning cup anemometer is prone to do. The rain gain sensitivity is a bit tricky to set up, but it seems I’m getting close through trial and error. I won’t be dumping my traditional rain gauge anytime soon.

My weather station provides all the information I had to use three apps to get before—and more.

Exactly what i needed

The Ambient Weather station had failed after many years of service. No outside temp. or rain report but after checking the parts to repair were readily available and reasonably priced from Ambient weather. The parts were delivered quickly and were easy to replace. Now the weather station works like new at a much less cost than a new unit.
Very Happy

We have had our station operating for about 2 weeks. We aren’t sure we have in right place on property but are working on that. It did take 3 orders to get everything we needed to start. We have 2 homes on one property so needed 2 inside monitors and temperature/humidity/hygrometers. I had to email support to find console for WS-5000 and it couldn’t just be added to my online order. We share WiFi so son picked up our indoor unit. So got him a sensor for his house. Now that we have it not sure how to view different channels. Manual is not user friendly.

The part is perfect. I would request however that there is some form of instructions for the replacement. I still have not gotten my new sensor to sync with my existing system. I haven't dug too deep into it, and have restarted each unit together, but to no avail.

Fair price, just wish they lasted longer than two years between failures.
