I purchased a new weather station, the same one but with internet and wifi capabilities. Loved the first one and will surely enjoy the second one.

It works and does what it supposed to do

We had an awful hail storm that destroyed our station, and this arrived quick and was so easy to connect to our inside display.

Excellent, to date!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My humidity always showed 10% and then my rain gauge didn't measure one time. Easy to replace part and received in under a week. Now running down the battery for the reset takes some patience afterwards then a reset on your display. Everything has worked great since I replaced.

Works perfectly and enables placement on kitchen counter instead of hanging the display on a wall.

I love this sensor. My chest freezer is in the garage and I had concerns about knowing if the breaker trips to my garage receptacles. Now I can easily monitor my freezer temperature on my weather station display and the AWN app.

Works as expected

just what I ordered

Original unit died after 3 years . New unit works fine

I’ve found it’s better for me to leave the spikes vertical. I did a mix with a “z” sorta on the long spikes and short ones straight. Birds try to land and spin the z shape into the others. For the previous 3-4 yrs I just used all vertical and will return to that since the bent ones are against the straight ones and not contributing. Since my unit is on a tidal creek I have all manner of birds try and light, 5ank goodness no pelicans unless that’s what completely made my original spike set completely disappear. Whatever keeps this massive bird poops outta the rain gage is what I want….lol

I never thought I’d be emotionally attached to three tiny plastic cups on a stick, but here we are.

These wind cups arrived in a box so small and humble, I thought I’d accidentally ordered hamster-sized salad bowls. But no—these little guys are the aerodynamic ballerinas of the weather world. The moment I installed them on my weather station (aka The Backyard Doppler 9000), they caught the breeze like they were born in a tornado.

Installation was simple—if you consider screaming at tiny screws for 15 minutes “simple.” But once on, oh boy, they spun. A light breeze? Spinning. A gusty thunderstorm? Spinning like it just got dumped and found out its ex is dating someone with a boat.

They’re accurate too. I checked them against my neighbor’s $500 Davis weather station, and both agreed that we were experiencing “light wind with a 90% chance of Karen yelling at her dog.”

Durability? Let’s just say my cat batted at them for 10 minutes before giving up out of sheer respect. That’s a win in my book.

Final verdict: If you like knowing how windy it is without sticking your face outside like a golden retriever, these are the wind cups for you. A must-have for any backyard meteorologist, doomsday prepper, or dad who thinks he could’ve done better than the Weather Channel.

The new array has worked well and was recognized immediately after I powered down the display and restarted it. The only reason I am not giving a full 5 stars is due to the failure of the original array. The ultrasonic wind gauge started giving erroneous readings after only a couple years. I cleaned it but that didn’t help. Perhaps I shouldn’t expect it to last longer but for the price and the fact that I’ve had other ambient mechanical wind gauges that lasted much longer I was holding out for greater reliability.

Replacement was easy to install and worked well without any problems. Very pleased with Ambient

I love mine so much, that I bought one for my best friend--a wonderful birthday or anything gift.

I was sent a discount coupon and tried to use it but it wasn't accepted.

I had initially lost all data from the weather station unit outside and I thought there was a battery issue. I removed the weather station from the roof, found the batteries were fine and went through a total reset of the outside unit. After the reset, the wind direction and speed was communicating with the interior display, but had no outside temperature or humidity displayed. AMBIENT Customer service recommended that I purchase this WS-2902-THERMOHYGRO- ASSEMBLY. I swapped it out, reset communications again, and all of the weather station data is now displayed on the interior display.

When I called the issue was correctly diagnosed. AC adapter solved the problem, station is back up and fully functional.

Works fine - easy set up. Provides the basic weather information that I want. The price is right.
