Easy to set up, I will need to wait for cold weather to determine effectiveness.

inside unit works nice! still working to adjust it on a television tower. no issues so far- just some small adjustments as i didnt want it mounted on a free standing pole.

This unit performs as expected. My monitor is about 30 feet away from the station and communication is great.

Thought I was getting solar powered unit, but in actuality, it is not. All functions seem to work adequately, documentation and website lacking and confusing. Information out-dated or incorrect.

Very nice, well manufactured professional rain gauge. I decided to purchase this rain gauge because it is made in the United States. More importantly, weighing on my decision to purchase is the fact that it is made by Productive Alternatives, a non-profit social services agency, serving the people of Minnesota since 1959, dedicated to building a better quality of life for the people and employees they serve.

Better then expected 👏 👌

Was easy to replace and works great. Looking forward to wearing this out in the next three years again--lots of wind here.

I needed a new unit for my office to replace an older version that was starting to fail. This unit has more options than the previous one, and its color screen is very easy to read day or night. So far so good.

Installation and connection was easy. So far so good.

Received my order quickly. Packaging was excellent and everything was there. Even tools! As with any technical new gadget it takes me awhile to get it all figured out. I read the instructions carefully first, which helped. I was replacing my seven year old WS-1001. So I did have knowledge of how they work. I removed the old system from its roof mast and shut it down. Then unplugged the old control panel from my WIFI.
Assembly was easy. I like the new system configuration and the wind direction arrow how it needs a bit of a breeze to move it. Nice improvement!
New control panel setup is not a lot different from the old panel. Main display is different and took awhile to get use to where the readings are. But not a problem. They are a bit smaller, but that too was not a problem. I just stand closer.
I did not use AW website with my old system and initially I did not plan to use it for this new system. Directions to set it up again on weather underground were confusing to me. I read a couple other reviews on setting it up on WU. Glad I was not the only one having some struggles. One review saved the day. They said set it up on AW first then use their website to set it up with WU. Their website and reviewer did warn not to set it up using the control panel AND their website. I made sure the control panel data I entered for WU was deleted, same as the review I read. This method worked almost immediately.
With the system working from within the house I felt good about climbing up on the roof again knowing I would not have to do it more than once. New system bolted right on to the mast.
Just for fun, I fired up the old control panel but remembered to delete the WIFI password so it would not try to communicate to WU. Old panel would not let me leave the WIFI password blank. So I entered a single random character to fool Mr. Smarty. The old panel works with the new system so now I have one in my home office and one by the front entry. Life is good!

I was suprised that it fixed the rebooting issue I was experiencing.

I have owned two for these. The first unit worked well and lasted two years. This one started displaying the wrong temperature after a couple months. Sometimes off by as much as 20 degrees with no particular pattern. I mostly care about wind speed and direction so I have not worked with customer service on the issue. I do think these are the best for the money.

Worked very well as advertised.

This is a replacement for a sensor that was dead when received. Ambient Weather replaced it promptly, sending out a new one while the defective one was in transit. A+ for customer service.

The 4 star rating is because the printed instructions do not clearly explain how to get to the sensor ID screen. The website does a good job with this. The booklet shows a copyright date on 2020; you would think the errors would have been corrected by 2025.

Second, the estimated battery life of 2-3 years for a device with a lithium battery seems rather short, considering the price of the item, and that the battery is not replaceable.

Still, the thermometer works as designed. I would recommend it.

The solar recharging of the batteries failed after 4 years only worked during the day.

I had many weather station but this station beats them hands down. Easy to setup for WiFi. Very nice to read display. Quality and accurate components

Very happy customer

It took a little dexterity to attach the ribbon cable but otherwise a smooth replacement.

Good system , easy to install. I ended buying a lighting tracker from another vendor, wish you guys would have built that into this system !

The part is fine. It concerns me that it failed as soon as it did after my initial purchase

A little pricey, but it works well. It has kept the birds off of my rain gauge and I get accurate readings now since the cup stays clean. I did bend the spikes inward which seems to be a big improvement.
