Ambient Weather WS-5000 Ultrasonic Professional Smart Weather Station & Thermo Hygrometer
Mostly, I love the weather station. Having few moving parts, solar power, and remote viewing via the internet are wonderful features. Unfortunately, my temperature sensor has failed after about three years. It now only reports occasionally, sometimes not working for days. Battery replacement did not help. I will need to replace the entire expensive rooftop array.

Ambient Weather WS-2902-ARRAY Replacement Sensor Array, WS-1900, WS-2000, WS-2902 and WS-2902A Wireless Weather Station
This was to replace the entire sensor array considering the problem was the temperature sensor! However this version of the sensor array has individually replaceable sensors so hopefully I can repair this one quicker and cheaper than replacing the entire array. Start up and installation was easy and completed in 10-15 minutes.

Arrived very quick, even all the way to New Zealand.
I’ve added a bit of exterior tape to hold in place, just in case we get more Gail’s.
In Wellington NZ it won’t be long.😉😂

Ambient Weather WS-2902 Home Weather Station with WiFi Remote Monitoring and Alerts & Thermo Hygrometer
We are very happy with this home weather station. Purchasing it on their website was quick & easy. Shipping was fast! Directions to set it up were easy to follow. The display is precise. The only thing we would like to have on the display is “chill factor”…thus the 4 star rating. We are enjoying the app, being able to check the weather at our home while we are away. We definitely recommend this weather station to others!

Ambient Weather WS-5000 Ultrasonic Professional Smart Weather Station & Thermo Hygrometer
Overall very satisfied as to build quality and ease of use from installation to console connection to wi-fi. Would have rated it 5 stars if not for a couple of very time consuming, what should have been insignificant glitches. The sensor array with the curved tube that attaches to the main pole, had a screw hole that simply did not line up properly because of a dimple at the connection point that prevented alignment. After trying for some time, a finished 6 penny nail inserted through both holes pulled the two holes into alignment so that the tightening screw could be inserted and secured. The bird spike I purchased was beyond difficult to construct and fell of the rain collector after a day. Tightened up on the unit and so far, it has remained in tact. These are not deal breakers certainly, but these two small items took an inordinate amount of time to resiolve not to mention, the frustration. Once all resolved, the Ambient WS-5000 has been a great unit now reporting to both CWOP and MADIS.
