The installation manual could be written better, look at instructions from the standpoint of a new user. The assembly and installation was straight forward and easy and to operating smoothly. The display is smaller than a previous model but a good balance between space and viewability.

Ambient Weather WS-2000 Smart Weather Station with WiFi Remote Monitoring and Alerts & Thermo Hygrometer
I had an older model of a weather station for many years but as we moved to a new house this was my opportunity to upgrade. I love this new unit. I was pleasantly surprised that the signal from the unit was able to reach my display even though it is close to 200 feet away, and the signal is strong! I had talked with someone in support earlier and they explained that this model has replacement sensors so if something should happen to one it can be fixed rather than lose that functionality. I'm a very pleased customer.

It only has one problem. It would be nice if it could stroll through the extra weather sensors rather than going to the web page.

Ambient Weather WS-5000-CONSOLE Console Only, WS-5000 Wireless Weather Station
Found the console easy to set up, almost a no brainer. Hardest part about the outside unit was finding a spot to put it in the yard. Second hardest was lining it up with north so the wind direction would be accurate, but that's more about me being able to read a compass than anything about the weather station.

Backup AC Power Supply

Ambient Weather WS-2902-AC Replacement AC Adapter, WS-2902 Wireless Weather Station
You may not wish to post this review.
I purchased the extra AC Power Supply and USB Power Supply cord as a backup for my display console which I use for my WS-5000 Weather Station from Ambient Weather.
It may be due to a bad manufacturing lot or design change, but I have seen that the AC adapter has been suspect to a number of issues relating to the operation of the Ambient Weather Display Console. I was just trying to be proactive to maintain use of my weather station.
I have kept the AC adapter on a UPS system since its first use, so a stable power input should not be an issue. I have also attempted to place the current power supply in an area where thermal irregularities (overheating) are not an issue.
I, along with other folks who have purchased Ambient Weather equipment, appreciate the type of equipment at a reasonable price. The focus still need to be supporting quality components and making sure that the support staff have all the resources they need to assist customers.

This weather station was easy to assemble and is working very well. It is visible on Ambient Weather's site and while it is visible on the Weather Underground site, it shows the status as Offline. I have not been able to get any support to get it online.

Ambient Weather WS-2000 Smart Weather Station with WiFi Remote Monitoring and Alerts & Thermo Hygrometer
Funny you should ask. I like the station, or at least I did until it started snowing on Friday. Looks like a poor design having it flat on top. The snow just sits there and blocks the wind instruments so they can't move. Also have not been able to get the system to work with Weatherunderground. Your instructions for setup are as clear as mud. Nowhere do the instructions tell you what to enter for the "IP/Hostname".

Array is the same for both models. Had to set the HEX ID for the array in the WS-2000 console correctly, after that, everything worked perfectly. Have had a WS-2000 for 7 years, enjoyed it very much. Would be great if: 1. Connect with 5GHz WiFi, 2. Better clog-free, bird proof rain gauge and 3. Make the array a little more durable, long-lasting.
