My weather station stopped communicating. The batteries tested OK, so I checked ambient weather regardinng what may have been wrong. I found it was bestto use a non rechargeabke energizer lithium battery. There also a descriptionon how to reset a capasider. Amb. Weather also sold the batteries and got it to me within a few days. Their price was a little better than the retail stores and saved me a trip. Put the btteries in the unit and it worked!

This is my second Ambeient Weather Station. My old model 2000 was seven and half years old. Never any problems, just changing batteries now and then. I upgraded to the 5000 and it’s definitely a high end station. The ultrasound wind updating every five seconds is way better than the 2000. Easy to setup and connecting to AWN.

The part was ordered and shipped quickly. Unfortunately it was not compatible with my current masthead. The return and refund was handled very well.

I purchased a WS-5000 weather station. The components seem solid; time will tell. However, the administration of the WS-5000 through a clunky mandatory console seems like it's from the 20th (not 21st) century. Further, the required use of the Ambient Weather Network and PC-based exports for data analysis needs a usability refresh. All this should be doable from a mobile platform app.

I had some questions about this product that were quickly and expertly answered by a human staff member. No AI or automated support nonsense, just good customer service by a fine company. I highly recommend Ambient Weather products and support.

I bought my Ambient WS-2902C weather station 3 3/4 years ago. This past spring it lost sensing and measurement of the rain. I replaced the sensor array on recommendation of support staff. I got it working but I believe the problem was really solved with a hard reset of the display panel. Last week, rain measurement was failing again. This time I replaced the display console and got it working through a combination of array resets and a hard reset on the display panel.
I really enjoy my weather station but I’ve had trouble and have essentially bought two over that 3 3/4 year period.

Second purchase- fast shipping, nice weather station, fancier than first weather station.
Suggestion- put bright neon tag on product box "important! read instructions first".
As this product so similar to last one I jumped right in to fix settings without reading booklet 1st so had to rewind to fix things up. But...it works great. Very happy with new device. Hope it lasts ten yrs like previous one. Thanks for good product options!
