I wanted a return for a defective WS-5000 that is reading 3 to 5 degrees higher than all the other stations around me since 4/17. Ambient weather rejected the return and now I’m stuck with a defective unit. I will never buy an Ambient Weather product again. Time to buy a Davis.

Love the ambient weather station 2902d. The information I get from it is wonderful and the app works great.

Had to replace the THERMOHYGRO-ASSEMBLY on a two year old weather station. Have another weather station at an other location having the same problem. I assume I’ll have to replace the unit on that one too. It is also only two years old. That part does not appear to be manufactured to very high standards.

I made a warranty claim for the wind speed module and you never responded to my inquiry. Since it was rather cheap I just bought one.

I ordered 5 Rainspikes / Rain Gauge bird spikes and received 5 Temperature / Humidity Sensors.
I paid 32% tdo have these shipped to Mexico.
I am very disappointed and depending on how Cust. Svc. handles this I may never purchase from Ambient again.

Website was easy to navigate and purchased ws5000 came quickly. I did have a question prior to ordering that was answered incorrectly. I wanted to mount rain gage in same pole as array but wanted it down lower to ground to facilitate cleaning. As it turned out the only way to mount on same pole is rain gage on top of pole. I installed a separate post which was easy enough. This is replacing a Davis vantage vie that I had issues with from beginning and Davis didn’t want to hear my issue which could not easily be detected. It would only read wind speed to a max of 30.0. Never ever went above in very severe storms. Davis thought that wind must never exceed 30.0. Never 30.1 or above. So far the ws 5000 seems to be a better choice and the available bird guard was another great difference over the Davis

The order form must have defaulted to 2nd day air and, when I didn't catch it, it cost me $162 shipping to get a $130 device.
When the device arrived, it doesn't connect to our old AW console (2902B) so I'm out over $300 for nothing.

Tried to replace temperature unit which stopped working. Very difficult. I damaged the connection trying to remove it. Waste of money.

Purchased the 5000 array and rain gauge to replace an old 1401ip. Didn't work with my IP observer, so I had to get the IP observer 2. Works well now.
