Ambient Weather Station could of done better on there consoles, it is to touchable, you hit one button and it changes everything. The colors on the screen need to be one color so you can see the numbers and letters and it needs to be a lot brighter. It all seems to run together.

So far, I have been quite impressed by the Ambient WS-5000 weather station. Despite the wind and temperature sensor being one unit, the temperatures have been quite accurate relative to local climate reporting stations. The sonic wind sensor has nice sensitivity in lighter wind conditions. I've only had one rainfall event so far and the sensor came in 20% lower than using a standard manual gauge, so I will need to monitor and possibly calibrate the rainfall measurements.
The package arrived in a timely fashion and in good order. Setting up the station sensors, connecting to the Internet and weather underground, and sea level pressure calibration was relatively easy to accomplish.

Pretty easy to initialize the system. Yes, the console is fairly directional in display, but it's not a big shortcoming in my opinion. Overall, I'm rather impressed.

The temp sensor was not difficult to install but there was no (zero) supporting instructions or documentation supplied with the item purchased.

Received unit I week ago set it up today and so far very happy , took about 1 hour to set up. Want to thank Ruth in the office for the time she put in with me to come up with the best unit for my needs. A little more tweaking and I should be there.

MY experience was mixed: the link to the manual for the ambient weather hub turned out to be for a discontinued model. I only discovered this when I called tech support, who very helpfully walked me through the set up process -- non of the steps of which had appeared in the manual! Once set up the hub and the sensors work flawlessly.
