It was a forced upgrade - ok it happens. A rebate was offered in return for going through with the upgrade. It was $25 of the about $90 cost. It came with conditions like returning the old unit using a prepaid label to be included with the new hardware. Also ok. The label wasn't included. The website with directions was complete nonsense. Numerous phone calls eventually straightened it out but by that time I had at least 5 hours into the upgrade and the rebate effort. I essentially worked 5 hours for a $25 rebate because they put so little effort into enabling a legit process to get it. Abysmal execution - forced upgrade with a rebate held out there but they're going to make you actually work (sub minimum wage) for it. I wouldn't have done it if I knew the time sink before hand.

Seems Ambient “system” re: returning a brand new part - was complicated -the review process..
It took several emails - I was going to order direct but decided to go the Amazon way - your system is not real customer friendly

New sensor array box had been opened and resealed with package tape that came undone in shipment so the box arrived open

My purchase went fine. I’m a bit disappointed with the website and how I need help to find my weather station, the 1551 and what items are compatible. Tech support does respond to email but I guess I don’t ask the right questions.

The mounting pole had several scratch marks on it. One of the screws didn't fit so I had to go to a hardware store to buy the correct fitting screw. I think I received a second hand product, which is disappointing.

Great weather station, but the displays fail after 4-5 years.

The replacement part recommended for my weather station didn't fit correctly and was damaged during installation. Too bad, because the station had been great for me for the last 5 years.
