WS-2000 weather station is easy to set up and it looks a lot nicer and modern compared to the WS-1001 it replaced. The only thing is the display, it does look nicer than the older display panel with it's color panel, compared to the older panel it's kind of cramped with info. Maybe it needs to be a little larger. Overall happy with the update.

The item list was not clear on all the parts that came in the package: In my case, the control panel comes with a base stand and a power supply connector, although it wasn’t obvious from the description or the photo. Otherwise, the order experience was reasonably good.

I purchased a base for my Ambient weather station, received separately. It arrived promptly after the order was placed. The base is solid and appears to be durable. The weather station is excellent, but the assembly instructions for both the station and the base were vague in some respects, which made the assembly process more complicated and time-consuming than necessary. The station remote monitor has informative and attractive graphics, but some of the interface seems relatively archaic, as do the attachment devices for the sensors to the base. The keyboard used to enter the weather station identified through wundergound.com does not work properly (no indication of highlighted letters or numbers); hence I cannot activate the identifier. Next-generation devices would be enhanced with a smart phone/iPad-type app and more high-tech base connectors. But overall, the station and monitor themselves are elegant and informative.
