Great customer service and products!

I purchased this device to replace a 30 year old Radio Shack indoor / outdoor thermometer that died after one of the dogs managed to bite the outdoor sensor off. It had a small ¾" display that dutifully showed the outdoor temperature and, with a flip of a switch on the back, would show the indoor temperature. I rarely checked the indoor temperature because I could just look at the reading from the Honeywell thermostat.

The death of my beloved Radio Shack device forced me to research the current state of indoor / outdoor thermometers. I discovered that they now have large LED displays and a wireless connection to the outdoor sensor. Some measure humidity, which can be useful.

Eventually I settled on the Ambient WS-2801A. This device gives me indoor / outdoor temperature and humidity, as well as atmospheric pressure. I don't need to put the device in the front room and hang a sensor out the window. No, I can put the display in the main room and the outdoor sensor hangs safely 6 feet up a shaded outdoor wall where the dogs have 0 chance of reaching it. The remote sensor paired easily with the display unit.

My only concern had been the temperature accuracy. The specs say +/- 2 degrees. That was a concern because the wife wants the heat on if the temperature is below 70 and I am OK with 68. After the device arrived, I compared the indoor display and outdoor sensor with two mercury bulb thermometers I have and all four were spot on. This exercise taught me that the temperature in my living room can easily vary by 2 degrees depending on where you are standing. It also taught me that the Honeywell thermostat is running 2 degrees cold, so I can lower the heat setting by that amount. Several wins there.

The net is that I highly recommend this device.

Replacement part was perfect, shipping was quick. Great wx sensor setup.

Good prices. Fast shipping.

I was very pleased with the weather station and tri-pod mount I bought. It was much better than others i have bought.

Awesome. Great fun.

Got exactly what I needed and it was shipped really quick. New A/C adapter fixed my dead display panel.

Great product and quick shipping

The order came on time. Problem is, the unit does not keep tract of the rain.

It was quite confusing to figure out what I needed to buy. I want sure if I needed a temperature sensor or if that was included with the other instrument clusters. I could have called but honestly I would rather buy online. So far I love the product but wish it would have been a little easier to understand the product selections.

Very speedy service.

Clean and informative website with fast service once an order is placed. Very satisfied.

Very good. I like the design of the weather station I purchased. I was wondering why there is no battery backup. My area gets a lot of power burgs and outages. Otherwise so far it seems to be doing an admiral job. I replaced an Oregon Scientific with this model due to the fact the hygrometer and temp no longer function reliably and parts aren't available.

Product arrived in timely manner and works great. Unfortunately it did not include instructions on how to set up the channels but was able to look it up at the product web site. I now can now monitor room temperature and humidity a cross my house online and with the display monitor.

Quick, fast, and easy!

Very good products and very helpful staff.

Appreciate the knowledgable staff. Not thrilled that the humidity sensor died a few months ago… meaning…. 19 months (7 over warranty). It is really not acceptable and will probably/certainly buy from another company who would be more standup with what they make on the next problem.

As promised

Nice clean website with easy ordering functionality, quick shipping too!

Super quick shipping, order was packed well.

No complaints.
