Product came promptly, appears to work though length of cord seems shorter than original

For a few years, we had an earlier model Ambient Weather personal weather station. We found it to be good and durable weather station. We bought it, I believe, through Amazon. This time, we bought a WS-2000 model directly from Ambient Weather. The ordering process was painless and the price included free shipping. Ambient Weather shipped the order almost immediately.
The station now is in service and working according to specification. So far, we are quite satisfied with the station and company service.

Shipping was prompt. Part cost and shipping charge were reasonable. I deducted one star because the original cable connector was extremely difficult to remove. I’ve worked on computers and other electronic devices for more than 50 years, but still pulled one wire from the connector. Of course the instructions warned about this even though I was extremely cautious. Fortunately I was able to repair the problem. Otherwise I’m pleased with my 2902a.

The order process was fantastic. Quick and timely. Unfortunately, considering that the unit is almost $200, the display does not do justice to an excellent sensing system. Even a La Crosse Technology $55.00 station puts this one to shame. I have a Acurite and I rate their display as excellent. Unfortunately their online equipment made me change to your and so far not too happy - because of the dissplay

My husband just installed the new Ambient weather station. We like the bright colorful monitor but there are two things that we do not like. Having to use electricity instead of batteries for the consoles and not having the capability for the time to be changed automatically for daylight savings time and standard time. These were features that we had on our previous entry level Ambient weather station.

My batteries that came with the unit were rechargeable. These are not rechargeable and I submitted a question via email that has been unanswered.

I love the tripod stand, but the extension to raise the weather station do not fit tight no matter how I hammered them together. So I had to duct tape them and run a wire to keep in taught. Also, the pipe didn’t fit my AcuTemp weather station, so I had Gerry rig that as well. More work than I ever planned.

Ultimately useful, but it took persistence. Responses were typically prompt but tense. I never got the answer I needed without followup question(s).

I added text because I couldn't just leave a rating. So, here is some text.
You lost 1/1000 of a star because of that, Ambient.
I hope you're happy.

Good prices and phone advise before purchase. However I didn't have a AW account when I bought the station and there is no way to add your devices after you make an account. Still 5 stars.

Just recently ordered and installed the WS-5000 system. My order was processed and shipped immediately, and well packaged. The manual shipped with the system is very in-depth and concise. It is online and performing as expected. A well thought out system and great service.

This was a gift, so I cannot report on the equipment. However, it was easy to buy and was delivered as 'advertised'. I appreciated the good package tracking.
