Weather station works good, but you really dropped the ball on the display. Its so cheaply made you have to be standing straight on in front of it to read it. It should be a high def display.

Connecting the indoor/outdoor unit is cumbersome and not explained well in the instruction's. I called your number in Arizona and reached a lovely man who walked me thru everything and even told me about the old unit that was trying to reconnect.

My daughters got me the AWN WS-2902 for my 80th birthday. Two years and ten months it crapped out.I had no outdoor temperature on the console. I tried everything per your instructions to get it to work. Nothing, so I spent $140 and got another outdoor sensor. The system is up and operating.

Made a purchase over a week ago and got an email with order conformation and one with the invoice. All good this far. When trying to track the order, with the supplied information, it came back invalid number or not in the system. This went on for several days. Finally called, the agent said it was shipped by a different carrier than supplied. He told me the carrier, the change who he said was the carrier, then changed back to who he first said. (Do you people know how to use your system?) He did track the package and told me where it was. I checked with the carrier (USPS) about 6 hours later, only to find out it was where he said but had been shipped farther away, instead of closer.
I feel Ambient weather should have supplied the correct carrier on the invoice and maybe consider not using USPS if they want their items to arrive in a timely fashion.
I may update my review when my purchase arrives.

Ultimately, the weather station is back in order, but communication with Ambient was not good or easy: Hold time on phone excessive and then would drop call after 10 minutes. Communication by email was sporadic. I got different solutions from different support people, 1/2 were right, 1/2 were wrong. Part I ordered- hygrometer only, came as rain gage AND hygrometer. That unit did not match my Base so Temp readings were 30 deg too high. Then I was told to reset and it would fix itself, but that was clearly wrong. Finally had to by the hygrometer with the plug (detachable version) and that fixed it. A long path to a seemingly simple solution

So far, so good. Fast delivery. We'll see how the hardware holds up after five years. User manuals seem jumbled, with copyright dates and version numbers conflicted on occasion. One of the lightening detector manuals seemed to reflect an improper explanation for one of the dip switch settings. I believe AW has to overhaul its manuals.

The bracket for the main unit is in my view far too easy to crack
I realize that on the first bracket that came with the weather center, I tighten the bracket screws far too much I follow directions carefully on the second bracket, but it cracked too I have installed the third bracket tightening the screws by hand to make sure I didn’t put stress on the plastic
I think the bracket could easily be made to deal with more tightening and thus making it a better installation without fear of breaking the bracket or leaving it too loose
