After 5 years my WS5000 weather tablet started to reboot itself over and over. Sometimes it would reboot for hours before the OS would load. It would stay up for a while and then start rebooting again so I figured I had to replace the $200+ tablet.
When I got the new tablet and plugged it into the original power cord it did the same thing. So the problem wasn't the tablet. With the included new power cord both tablets worked fine.
So I had to order a $20 replacement power cord and now I have two working systems which isn't all that bad, upstairs and down.
So a cautionary tale if this particular problem befalls you. You might want to try replacing the $20 plug before you spring for the $200 tablet.

Free delivery took over a week to get. Can do better. USPS is not the answer to that problem.

I spoke with the Ambient Customer Service person who recommended I buy a replacement power cord after I described my weather station system. Problem solved.

Told the person on the phone what the problem was, and he said I should buy a new indoor moniter witch I did,and problem solved. The problem was when I turned the unit off it would come back on after a period of time.

Our sensor anrray had essentially died/worn out but I didn’t want to buy a complete new system. Customer Service helped me figure out how to buy the sensor array without display panel and that saved me a lot of money! I do wish that the sensors would last longer than 3-4 years but these systems are less expensive than more robust systems so I can’t really complain.

Very nice weather station. Required a little bit of tech savvy and a call to tech support but it’s up and running now. Was able to put it where I had an old weather station and it appears sturdier and more accurate than the old one.
