Nine Deer and Me (board book)
My boys and I loved this sweet counting book about Saint Abigail from Ireland! My 2 year old loved the counting and bright illustrations. My older boys love rhymes and learning about saints. It combines the simple joy and lap snuggles of a board book with the loveliness of teaching my kids about their faith. I loved the icon and brief history of Saint Abigail in the back as well.

The Lightkeeper: A Novel
I was drawn into the story and enjoyed the ethereal feel, the fantasy aspect and the eloquent descriptions which transported me through time along with the main character. Beautifully written. Enjoyed very much.

The Prologue of Ohrid, 2 volume set
Spiritual books like these are essential for a balanced spiritual life. The texts really induce thoughtful reflection & promote strength in spiritual matters. I only wish some of the daily readings were a little bit longer!

Bearing God: The Life and Works of St. Ignatius of Antioch the God-Bearer
A book manageable in length, but heavy in history and wisdom. As I often do reading the lives of saints, I had a bit of despair at how unattainably higher St. Ignatius is spiritually that I could dream to become, but that’s why we pray for his help! An inspiring and readable introduction to this wonderful saint.

Our Thoughts Determine Our Lives: The Life and Teachings of Elder Thaddeus of Vitovnica
A beautiful book filled with pearls of wisdom. I imagine it’s the next best thing to having had the blessing to sit with the Elder himself. I joy to read straight through or to dip into here and there by topic.

The Religion of the Apostles: Orthodox Christianity in the First Century
A fantastic treatment by Fr De Young. A consistent, steady backing in Scripture, Second Temple Judaism, and Ancient Near East contexts makes for strong arguments for his case.

A Sacred Beginning: Nurturing Your Body, Mind, and Soul during Baby's First Forty Days
This book. ❤️ As a Birth and Postpartum Doula, lactation consultant, and mother of 5, I cannot recommend this more highly.
I finished reading this a couple weeks ago and it is truly one of the best books I think I have read for new moms. While it is written from an Eastern Orthodox Christian perspective, I think much of what is found in this is helpful for all Christians, and even moms who may not identify as Christian at all. The authors write from so much experience and give simple, practical, and very helpful advice for getting through those first weeks with baby. It was like having your village in a book that you can always refer back to.
If you recently had a baby, are going to have a baby soon, or know someone who has - definitely get this book!

I really enjoyed "Religion of the Apostles." It is a great summary of the Christian faith grounded firmly in the Scriptures, and in the history of the Church.

Orthodoxy and Catholicism: What are the Differences?
This booklet was a helpful snapshot of the titular question for me as a protestant considering Orthodoxy.

The Religion of the Apostles: Orthodox Christianity in the First Century
This book is a good concise introductory apologetic of Eastern Orthodox faith and practice as a continuation of the faith of the apostles, leveraging recent research on Second Temple Judaism and associated literature.
Fr. De Young covers a lot of ground with minimal explanation. I found myself wanting more (e.g., historical information, development of arguments, and citations in general). With that said, the book tells a cohesive story and makes its points with brevity.
Overall I heartily recommend reading this book.

Healing Your Wounded Soul: Growing from Pain to Peace
I really got a lot out of the book. It talked about healing your inner wounds from a therapist's point of view, while at the same time encompassing on how you are able to heal from the Orthodox perspective. I found it to be a nice balance between the two.
