This book is fantastic! It's such a great book for both children and adults! I have gone through the whole book trying to find all of the items, and it's been so fun! As a Orthodox mother to two children already and currently pregnant with another, this book is one I could have benefited from with my previous postpartum times.

I love that the book starts off with an explanation of why new mothers are to take 40 days for time to heal and grow spiritually. I think that many converts will find that so very helpful. The prayers that the authors add are beautiful and are a wonderful addition to the book, I myself have and will add them to my prayer rule once baby is here.

I appreciate that the book breaks down each of the 40 days, which makes it very easy to follow. I would even dare say it will be easy to follow as a newly postpartum mama, come on… we all know those sleepless nights! I feel this is just what postpartum mothers need, that encouragement that often gets forgotten once the baby is born. That we are given the blessing of raising a new life . This is some of the most important work as a Christian mother.

I would HIGHLY recommend this book to new mothers and veteran mothers alike. I hope to see more books like these in the coming times. Mothers need this kind of caring words and encouragement.

I and several other fathers from my monastery found ourselves sitting with The Orthodox Search and Find Book in our bookstore looking for all the items. We are thrilled to have another ORTHODOX children’s book to recommend to parents who ask. We even made the book our Christmas gift to the children who frequent our monastery. The book is incredibly thorough and executed with professional quality. I look forward to more from the Orthodox Design Company, and would recommend the book to kids of all ages… even if they happen to be white-bearded monks!

I loved the book with all of the information the author shared and the way she explained so many things about the faith. I will read it many times because, for a convert it clarifies many areas of confusion. I loved her knowledge and writing style!

I liked this book quite a bit, but *spoiler alert* you need to know it is in part a book about being pregnant. For some, this can be an unexpected and painful storyline., and more so when it catches you by surprise.

I received this book as a gift and absolutely LOVED it!!! It was a great Orthodox spin on a childhood classic. It was a very good mix of difficulty and nonstop fun - a good challenge which took me a while, but it was so enjoyable! It is a great way to offer Orthodox influence for kids, while still allowing them to do what they already love. (It’s also tons of fun for the parents!)

I am the guy that Father Farley speaks of in his introduction. I am a painter (not as in art). I am very thankful that Father Farley has written the orthodox Bible companion series. It makes understanding the New Testament so much easier and fulfilling when you can understand more about what you are reading.

A Scared Beginning is a book I need a few babies ago. I’m truly grateful to have this resource as I sit here with my 3 day old newborn #3. Becoming a mom is hard. Birth & postpartum is hard. This book meets moms in the journey pointing us towards Christ with personal and practical voices. The short daily chapters are perfect at giving me the morsels spiritual focus I can take now along side the practical tips to easy some stress.

It’s the companion I needed with my first two babies, but couldn’t find. I was a catechumen and a new convert to Orthodoxy with my first two babies. The concept of the 40 days sounded nice, but I struggled feeling separated and unfocused. This book is revealing to beauty of the precious time. I think every new mom would greatly benefit from this book. Thanks Sasha & Sarah for writing this.

This is a classic! Handsome, beautiful gold leaf design and page edges, sturdily bound for many years of use, and a great format! This is a welcomed addition to my Holy Week resources!

Wonderful! My goddaughter loved it, and as I was traveling when she opened it on her name day, her parents sent me a snapshot of her first coloring exploits… They looked like illuminated panels, or stained glass windows! Bravo on an inspiring and unique activity book for children!
