A few friends in my women's ministry suggested this book a while back but just now got around to reading it. Very practical and a super short but great read! Easily finished reading in 1-2 days it goes by that quick and is so good!

Very well made. Very Happy with the prayer beads.

The prayer book is very easy to read.

beautyful

Beautifully written, there is so much to learn about the Angels. The Bible mentions them in different passages which adds up to a lot of learning.

This excellent, brief booklet outlines the themes of the Paschal season divided by week. The layout is very nice and it is a terrific resource for learning the themes with commentary from an excellent source. I have read other books by the author and he has a beautiful way of expressing the voices of the Church. I recommend this book.

A must read for all Orthodox Christians!!

A very concise, practical and thorough discussion of the unique spiritual practices that every Christian can immediately implement in their day to day lives to not only enhance but, to better shape one's relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Excellent Orthodox Christian insights and intrepretations of very important ethical and moral issues that Orthodox Christians are confronted with on a daily basis

Most excellent! I learned of this book through my daughter who has gone through 18 miscarriages. She stated that what she heard (audible book version) resonated with her so much and that she wanted a copy of the book so she and her husband could read it together! I chose to listen as well. I ultimately bought three copies; one for her, one for a friend who also struggles, and for myself so as to share with family.
Albert Rossi highly recommends this book to everyone, professionals and non-professionals alike. The author addresses these main audiences: Individuals and couple acutely struggling with infertility grief; Priests, seminarians, parishioners, loved ones seeking to support childless couples; Physicians or mental health practitioners (Orthodox or not) who wish to better help their Orthodox patients and clients. A far reaching book, for so many, for sure! May God continue to bless Nicole's work and those who read this book!

My 14 year old still loves this story to be recalled at Pascha. A wonderful gift for Godchildren!

Wonderful!

I bought this for my husband for Holy Pascha this year and he LOVES it!! I have the Orthodox Study Bible with the New Testament and Psalms only and it has been a treasure to me. When I saw that Ancient Faith was offering this edition that now includes the Old Testament and Proverbs in addition to the New Testament and Psalms I was thrilled! It is beautifully bound in a soft leather and is a treasure in our home! Thank you!

Have not finished the book yet, so far I like the book.

Easy to read, unique topic. A little disappointed on the physical quality. The edges on the cover began to peel after a few weeks.

Archimandrite Meletios has written a book that takes you on a beautiful journey of Eastern Orthodoxy. Fr. Meletios takes the mystical beauty of Orthodoxy and simplifies it so the everyday lay person can dive into the divine. I believe this book would be a beautiful way to introduce inquirers of the faith to Orthodoxy, as its not overly 'textbook'. The one thing I will say as I listened to this book, I would suggest a hard copy of the book, as it will be easier to go back and reference parts of the book. Otherwise it was lovely to be able to listen to it at my leisure.

The book is broken into two parts ' Life as a Mystery' and 'The Mysteries of the Church'. The fist part of this book is truly captivating and well worth getting the book just for that. This book is simple yet complex all in one and while I feel this was very easy to listen to I find that maybe people who want a more scholarly and eloquently written book might become bored with the simplicity of it. But I would urge them to give this book a chance and let Fr. Meletios words of the mysteries enrapture you. The second part of the book looking at the mysteries/sacraments was lovely, so many quotes that I would constantly find myself listening to seconds over and over again to really grasp what was being said. It is one of the reasons I took so long to finish the book!

I will be purchasing copies and giving them as gifts to friends and to newcomers at our parish.

* I was gifted the book in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are much own.

As someone who has struggled with my relationship with God, this author has put into perspective some of the lies I had fallen into believing. Changing the way we view prayer and sin, not in an 'off the hook' sort of way, but just so much more a condition with normal ups and downs. A great read for thought.
