I Live Again: A Memoir of Ileana, Princess of Romania and Archduchess of Austria
This was a very moving book clearly depicting the deep faith of Princess Ileana. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

The Holy Angels
I find THE HOLY ANGELS, as a teaching manual, to be comprehensively enlightening as I slowly read along noting what I think I already knew and what I never knew. Readers will soon realize in a way they had not before that we are consistently befriended by watchful HOLY ANGELS who exist beyond the pages of childhood catechism books. Great Lent: Journey to Pascha
Easy to understand. Interesting--it explains much about the meaning of the fast.
It expands our understanding of Holy Tradition and Holy Communion and how they relate to our everyday life.

Icon: A Novel
Well written and exciting. Fitting for a middle or high school reader of today, and quite enjoyable for an adult, too. This is a very timely story.

This book is remarkable as it is helping me through the difficult time being in quarantine. Reading her story gives me strength and courage in my faith with Christ.

I Live Again: A Memoir of Ileana, Princess of Romania and Archduchess of Austria
The savagery of the Soviet ally toward the captured nations of eastern Europe will remain a great embarrassment for the US and UK. This firsthand account is painful to read, but lead by Ileana, Princess of Romania, we do not despair.

The Holy Angels
Having been Baptized and Chrismated only last year at Pascha, I knew very little about Angels except that they existed. This is a lovely book that shows the Angels ‘work’ throughout the Bible and has given me such comfort to know I have my very own Guardian Angel!

The Age of Paradise: Christendom from Pentecost to the First Millennium
So well written and engaging! Until now I have only had just a bare bones understanding of the timeline of pre-schism Christianity. I love that this book filled in so much of what was missing. There is SO much more to the story than I was aware of and so many pieces came together for me as I was reading. I think Father John is spot on when he says that if we want to understand how and why Western Christian culture has devolved into its current state we need to go back to its beginning and find the roots of the problem. So many people don't even know what happened between the book of Acts and the Great Schism. This book is an excellent remedy for that ignorance. I hope many people will read it!

The Ancient Faith Psalter
This is a must have if you actually want to read the Psalms (like your priest always gets after you to do). It has a good normal size font and reads like a book of poetry. Also, having the Psalms laid out in how they are used in services has been a great guide to direct my reading as well.
Maybe the only downside is that, physically, the quality of the book is that of a cheap paperback....so once I wear mine out I'd probably go for the better quality version.

Hear Me: A Prayer Book for Orthodox Young Adults (3rd edition)
I enjoy the prayers and how they are split up into categories. What I really find helpful are the additional instructions and notes with regard to prayer, confession, passions/virtues, etc. a great resource for adolescents and even adults newer to the faith or wanting to develop a prayer rule.
The only downside is that within a few days some of the pages started to separate from the binding. I’ll probably try to fix this down the road. Again- really enjoy this book and use it every night before bed.
