My almost ten months old son often picks this book for me to read to him. I love that it includes the iconography as well as other illustrations similar to iconography and explains it in a way a child can understand. I look forward to my son growing up and reading it to me! Thank you so much for offering this

As an Orthodox convert myself, I'm always fascinated by all kinds of conversion stories (even if it's not Orthodoxy conversion). While doing the catechumen classes last year, this book popped up on my feed and it intrigued me.

The late Rev. A. James Bernstein (who died of pancreatic cancer in June 2024) writes lovingly and quite thoroughly about his Jewish background, his entry into evangelical Protestantism and how it evolved into becoming an Antiochian Orthodox priest. Some of the writing is quite dry in terms of him quoting different saints, Scripture and prominent Orthodox figures like Kallisos Ware, but the intellectual study amidst Rev. Bernstein's autobiography is quite solid.

Bernstein writes lovingly and respectfully about his Jewish background (his book dedication to Jesus, Mary and the Jewish people), with some carefully worded criticism of Protestantism and Catholicism. I wish he had written more about his post conversion relationship with his Jewish parents more and whether they finally accepted & loved him.

Regardless this is a compelling and enthralling story of a man who lived a varied and fulfilling spiritual life.

Like it but it is much smaller than my past purchases.

My first book read into Orthodoxy....I really enjoyed book!

This is exactly what I had hoped for, very nice and well-made.

The book is excellent for anyone.

I did not personally read this download. I purchased every spanish language book you had--digital download, print, or audio and gifted them to the one and only Orthodox church in the country of Nicaragua--San Juan de Shang-hai y San Francisco, Matagalpa, NI. Father Daniel Valle was beyond grateful for literature to expand their very tiny library as well as pamphlets helpful in instructing enquirers, catacumens and the faithful, helping them grow in their faith and spiritual journey.

A must read

This Prayer Bracelet is very affordable, and its simple design makes it great for everyday wear! I love it!

I am very happy with my parchase. I have made it a habit to read the Lives of the Saints daily thanks to this book. I also like the Pascual Cycle section.

This beautiful book serves as a reminder that God is ever-present and fills all things. I especially loved how it connects everyday experiences from a child’s life to the nature of God. Its simplicity makes it meaningful not just for children but for adults as well. I also created a YouTube video reviewing this inspiring book feel free to watch. Highly recommend buying this book.

I love it!

Really cool to have this in print and in english. The content is a bit hard to follow for some casual readers (me), which is the reason for the low rating. It seems well translated and well put together, just kind of hard to stay engaged and follow in the mind.

Excellent! It kept me captivating and I'll read it again and again, purchased several copies for each of my children and for friends .....

Super helpful in reading the daily scriptures with my sons and helping them (and myself) better understand its context.

Well written and researched. Many new thoughts about the reasons of Jesus Christ’scsufferings.

Perfect for young and single people.

What a great collection of saints for kids. The hagiographies are short enough to keep attention and the maps and illustrations are engaging and useful. I only wish I had an index for both 101 and 102 for any given day.

Handy for small jewelry objects and well made

Great book for learning about saints!
