Thinking Orthodox: Understanding and Acquiring the Orthodox Christian Mind
This audiobook was a lot better than what I thought it would be. The author reads at a nice slow pace, letting you take in the subject matter. All the chapters are interesting and to the point. I recommend it for Orthodox who want a better understanding of what it means to be Orthodox, and also for seekers wanted to understand the Orthodox people.

The Orthodox Study Bible, Ancient Faith Edition, Leathersoft: Ancient Christianity Speaks to Today’s World
The pages stick together in the entire Bible, so I returned it. Papers are very thin and delicate too. I purchased the hard cover version from my home church’s bookstore and it’s a much better quality for half the price.

Let Us Attend! A Journey Through the Orthodox Divine Liturgy
I have been Orthodox for almost 2 years and we are reading this book in our small group. I have learned so much about the Divine Liturgy from this book. Father Lawrence Farley provides a very thorough explanation of each part of the Liturgy. This a great book for inquirers as well!

Akathist to the Guardian Angel Who Keepeth Unceasing Watch Over One's Life
A wonderful prayer booklet that will soften your heart deeply and make you thankful for the gift of such a heavenly friend. The Forward from Fr George Calciu at the beginning alone is worth it, and moved me to tears.
It includes rich theology, including references to the tollhouses, which are taught by many, many of our Saints over 2k years of Orthodoxy and are mentioned in many of our hymns.
Glory to God in our sweet friend, the Guardian Angel! I cannot recommend this prayer book enough!

Becoming Orthodox: A Journey to the Ancient Christian Faith
"Becoming Orthodox" was the first book I read when my husband and I started exploring Orthodoxy. A lovely woman in the Bible study class w where in lent it to me. I learned so much and that book led me happily on to converting to the Orthodox faith.
Since then, whenever someone asks me about my faith I explain as much as I can. Then I follow up by giving them a copy of"Becoming Orthodox". It is my go to - come to- Othodoxy book.

2025 Calendar of Liturgical Seasons: Mt. Athos (Julian version, old calendar)
This is an excellent calendar for those who really want to know all the Saints' commemoration days, fasts, and feast days. It's easy to read and there's lots of room on each day to write appointments, etc. Photos are beautiful and more than just one month per page is displayed. Great buy!

Know the Faith: A Handbook for Orthodox Christians and Inquirers
I really enjoyed this book. Coming from years of Evangelical background to converting to Orthodoxy this really helped break down some important topics of the Orthodox Faith.
1. Church
2. Grace
3. Salvation
4. Justification by Faith
5. Tradition and Scripture
6. The Eucharist
7. Ordination and the Priesthood
8. Confession and Repentance
9. Icons, Veneration and Worship
10. Intersessions of the Saints
11. Veneration of the Virgin Mary
While Fr. Michael did an excellent job with comparing Orthodox, Catholicism and Protestantism at times I felt maybe there was too much of Catholic or Protestant ways of teaching.
This would be great for a new Catechumen, inquirer of the Faith or even a convert like myself years later refreshing myself.
I appreciate the scriptures at the end of each chapter that support the topic. Also teachings from the church Fathers on each topic.

Living Faith: An Orthodox Christian Conversation with Evangelicals
I bought this book as a guide in talking with my Protestant friends who constantly mock my Orthodox beliefs. This book talks about Protestant faith and compares it to Orthodox teachings.
What I really like about this book is that it doesn't "slam" down faith questions and make the non-Orthodox feel bad about any misconceptions he or she might have. Rather, it gently offers our point of view using Biblical references and historical documents.
If you are looking for a book to start a meaningful, non-threatening dialogue with your non-Orthodox friends, this is the book for you.

2025 Calendar of Liturgical Seasons: Mt. Athos
I have bought all the calendars that this company has put out, beginning with the Holy Land. I love them. I really like the concept of following the church calendar rather than secular months. And the photos of Mt Athos are absolutely beautiful!

The Orthodox Study Bible, Ancient Faith Edition, Leathersoft: Ancient Christianity Speaks to Today’s World
I have a lot of Bibles, read a lot of different translation versions, and (though I’m not a Bible scholar) am well-read in the field of biblical studies and theology. The Orthodox Study Bible is one of the best I’ve ever read. I love that it contains the most OT books that the other churches consider apocryphal. Regardless of what you believe, all this literature is worth reading. Often, in-line Bible commentaries are very unhelpful and inconsistent, but I’ve been extremely impressed with the commentary in the footnotes of this Bible. And one of the best things about this Bible is the Old Testament translation, which gave precedence to the Septuagint. This opens up the text in a way that most Christians are unfamiliar with. I cannot recommend this Bible more highly, especially if you are trying to find one Bible to be your staple one.
