Saint Paul the Pharisee: Jewish Apostle to All Nations
Father Stephen De Young has written an excellent biography of Saint Paul in the context of the world Paul knew, as a Roman citizen and Pharisee. Paul's conversion was not an ending to his being a Pharisee, but a realization that the messianic prophecies he had spent his life studying had been fulfilled. In fact, during his ministry, Paul took a Nazarite vow. There are a lot of interesting facts that even the most well versed New Testament readers might learn for the first time reading this. Father De Young wants to emphasize that readers of Paul's epistles cannot take them out of context from Paul's education, culture, tradition, and Roman and Jewish culture. Father De Young also includes his translations of Paul's Epistles, which is helpful to those seeking the most accurate and Orthodox translations.

The Lost Saint
I highly recommend this book. I read it aloud to my children (currently 12/13) and my husband was so intrigued, he didn’t want to miss anything! I tried to locate and email for the author so I could express to her personally how wonderfully written this book is and how much we appreciate it, but I couldn’t find it, so hopefully she will see this.

An excellent book on Eastern Orthodox Christians
Thinking Orthodox: Understanding and Acquiring the Orthodox Christian Mind
Material that clearly explains how modern Western minds differ from those that grow ever closer to God through Orthodox Christian worship.

Churchianity vs. Christianity
Though sometimes so dense as to make it difficult to follow the line of thought, there are so many gems in this book that it made the effort worthwhile.

This book is for everyone, not just pornography addicts. Indeed, it is about being able to look past an world in which everything is an object somehow meant to serve our needs, to something much larger, deeper, and real.
