This beautiful calendar is perfect. It has fasting, daily Saints & major Feast Days. It has beautiful icons and is large, making it easier to read all the printed text. I greatly appreciate that it was printed in North America (Canada).

Beautiful cards!

Excellent quality -- very pleased! Glad to have these wonderfully crafted eggs for my Easter decorating. Each time I see an Easter egg now, I'm reminded that Christ is risen! Thank you and God bless! :)

A beautiful card for Pascha! The card stock is very good. It is a joy to have such a wonderful card to greet those we love at Christ’s Resurrection. Thank you!

“Blessed are those who have mercy,
Who give to the poor and fast and pray,
The Holy Spirit will fill their heart,
The Son will show them mercy on judgment day.”
This is the refrain to the distribution hymn chanted during Lent in the Coptic Orthodox Church.

Spiritual Transformation and Giving by Bishop Alexei of Sitka and Alaska is a short, concise yet deep book about giving. Using the Bible and the Church Father’s sayings, Bishop Alexei explains what is giving and why it is important. Additionally, he talks about how and when to give. The book is divided into 7 short chapters.
The first three talk about what “giving to those in need” is?
It is “ part of the process of a Christian becoming Christlike” p. 6
It is “a virtue higher than all other virtues, ….. it helps the person become less self-centered…. It is at the very heart of the Christian life.” P 9

Almsgiving brings us mercy on Judgment day as the Coptic hymn proclaims, Bishop Alexei explains that giving is like lending to God. When you stand in front of a judge who is indebted to you, you are more likely to be granted mercy from him. He explains the proper way to give; unconditional, cheerful and consistent.

I really loved the straightforward strong message of the book. While it may seem hard at the beginning to give freely, giving is an effective tool in our spiritual life, in transforming us to be more Christlike and granting us mercy on judgment day. Whether you always gave freely and now want to be more generous with your giving, or you are struggling to give because of fear, I recommend reading this book with a praying heart, to acquire a generous giving heart.

When I was a catechumen years ago I attained a hard copy of this prayer book from my local Orthodox bookstore. I glanced at it now and then I felt little to no connection to God through it. The hard copy got lost in translation. While in the midst of my medical journey I purchased the Kindle version. It sat basically untouched this morning of all days while after praying the hours it became a breath of the Holy Spirit praying within me today.

Each holiday season I look forward to the Ancient Faith Store's selections of cards, including choices being offered for the first time, and am impressed with the quality of the cards and serving as a legacy of Orthodox Christianity as shown here, "Arise O Christ." One friend I send these to has collected the ones I have sent to her in a keepsake album to show her family and friends. You will want to do so too.

Beautiful!!! Absolutely gorgeous!

This was a gift and the recipient thought it was beautiful.

Very nice selection

Very helpful to have a daily reading to focus my attention. They are a good length and easy to follow.

I advise everyone to get this book in the whole collection because it narrows it down in the short version and right to the point.

I reviewed this publication and then provided it for the Church School. The teacher and the students were very enthused with the lesson provided.

This is just what I was looking for. I wish that there were more designs to choose from. They make wonderful gifts, and I have received so many compliments from mine. Very well made.

These Pascha cards are beautiful!! It is a joy to send these to our parish family.

Ordered many more books for distribution

I love the image. The card quality is wonderful. The Easter message is inspiring.

Honestly I haven’t had the time to even open the book up; however, that’s going to change and I will be making time specifically for HIS Word. I know this Study Bible will be beneficial to me, so I’ll rate it high. Thank you.

This book is a must-read for every Orthodox Christian, especially during Lent, when we concentrate upon being merciful and giving alms. Bishop ALEXEI's knowledge of the Bible, the saints, and clinical psychology will provide every reader with a deeper understanding of why and how we can become more generous to those in need and support the Christian mission. This book's message would be perfect for a study group any time of the year.
