Setting up is kind of tricky but then it functions just like a normal single Ecollar system. The system is not very clear on step by step directions however youtube knows everything. Idk if 100% worth it yet as far as longevity.

I had been using a Garmin 550 e-collar for my setter and it looked like he had developed an allergic reaction to the contacts. The Educator series was recommended as it offered a titanium contact. After using it for a week in my opinion it has both positive and negative features. It does not appear to be a great fit for an upland game dog as it doesn't seem to be rugged enough to withstand the abuse. It also seems to have a fairly short battery life (the garmin gave a worry free two days of use between charging). On the plus side to have the ability to have a boosted stim programed is a great feature. I was able to find a set of conductive plastic contacts for my garmin and will try those out as well.

So good that I bought another. Still working with the dog, but nice to have The Boss as backup if things go awry.

I just got the extended length contact for the pe900 Collar. Have a big Akita with very thick fur that needed longer contacts to function.
I love the 900 pe collar. I’ve set it up, so it’s perfect for controlling my dog: the front red button is the vibrate function, the red is the beep function. The top side button is basic current function, the bottom side button is add 20 levels of Current. I mostly only have to use the top black button for the vibrate because the dog is trained and knows what that means. I use the red for a similar function as the top black. When the hound doesn’t respond immediately to the vibrate or the sound, I hit the top side button and that works. In an extreme emergency, when the dog’s impulses might exceed the initial current, I can hit the extra current lower side button, and that will immediately get his attention and get an immediate response.
But I don’t like to use the extra current and basically never have to use it, but I’m ready to use it if critical need arises. This unit is so easy to program and so multifunctional for me. It’s tiny in size in your hand and works admirably all the time. And you can even modify more by using a computer to program it, but I haven’t had to do that yet.

I don’t think you can lose getting one of these PE 900’s!!!

Hi! I’m just a dog Mom who has had 6 Labradors over the past 30 years and I can say without hesitation these are the best training and correction collars we have found and will continue to use! They allow our dogs to explore freely while I have the peace of mind I can give a necessary correction only when required. No more “accidental” shocks from underground fences. No more getting to my dog too late when they get into something they shouldn’t be (trash, digging, eating deer poop, etc) and giving my dog the ability to be the happiest dog !

I absolutely love this collar. I have the 1” wide, Bungee strap version in black. From the easy metal “clip” quick release (has the adjustable prong to make the fit perfect), to the “bungee” stretchable section (in case the collar gets pulled or hooked on something, the dog won’t strangle)…it’s a very well constructed collar. I add his name tag and a flea/tick pod onto the collar and there’s still plenty of room!

4 stars because I own a short hair dog and the only prongs that came with it were for longer haired dogs, it did say there was an option for the 3/8” prongs but couldn’t add them to the order for some reason. I really wish they came with the collar like the longer ones did, and wish it had given me the option for the 3/8” instead of the longer ones it showed up with.

Just bought my third unit in 10 years. Not because the other two don't work but because I now have three malinois and needed another one. Literally the first one I bought 10 years ago still works but I did order new batteries for it and a new shell. Not because the shell is damaged or missing but so I can tell which remote is for which dog. Best e-collars available in my opinion.

I have used their training collars for years and absolutely love them. But when it came to getting a bark control collar, I initially went the cheaper route, multiple times, and was disappointed each time. I finally bit the bullet and went with the e-Collar version, and I have been totally satisfied. I love the various adjustable features of the collar, but most of all IT WORKS!! A prime example of the adage: You Get What You Pay For.

The Quick Snap version of e-collar has made it so much easier to put on and take off our dog, Maverick for daily walks. It is quick and easy, has the right amount of pressure on neck , not too tight, not too loose!!

We've used the mini educator T300 and the Boss 800 for years on our Belgian Malinois. They are compact and simple to use. I have had to replace the internal rechargeable batteries on the head units without difficulty and love the I can buy the parts I need without having to buy a whole new unit. This 3rd unit is for my newest puppy who is tracking to be the size of her father, he currently uses the Boss. He does have a strong will and will push through the stim if it's really something he wants, but generally listens when his collar is on, LOL. I love that I can pair the collars to one remote and hope it will be an asset when we are all on walks together in the future. I wish the T300 and 800 could be paired to one remote, it would free up a hand!

Great product! I wish it had come with a little piece of two sided tape. Otherwise works very well. Delivery was quick and easy.
