I love the abundance of settings. The lowest setting on other collars were too strong and did not work well for my dog. It gives my dog the gentle nudge he needs to pay attention and get back to work. We had plateaued in our training, but this ecollar allowed us to start making progress again.

Educator RX-090 Small Receiver Collar
I have had educator collars and receivers since 2020. The first one I bought is still working great and have only changed the battery once. The second receiver I bought after changing the battery twice stopped holding a charge , so I finally ordered another receiver. It works fine now, but it still remains to be seen if it’s as good as the receiver I bought in 2020.

The best is being able to change your colors of your ecollar skins. Mine cracked, I ordered a new one and it looks great.

We chose the Educator brand collar because it was suggested by an exceptional dog trainer in our area. The collars are easy to use. We normally only use vibrate. When the pups ( Vizslas) see the collar in our hands they know to behave. We bought them mainly for if we have them outside in a large property or wooded area. My only reason for 4 stars is the Bungee collars. To us the Bungee collars were a waste of money. We've never even used the Bungee collars. My husband could not believe I ordered them. I would return them if I could. We use the regular collars that came with it . What we would really like to have is a collar that clips on. That type is so much easier to quickly put on the dog without having to adjust it every time.
So the electronics and design are great however the actual collar the dog wears could be improved. We are searching for collars we can use with the educator itself.
We had no desire yo purchase an e collar from China. These are American made and with the extra money.

I received the e-collar about 2 weeks ago and I have been very please. Some days my dog only wears the collar for 30 minutes and I may not use the collar so I can not give an opinion about the battery life. I do like the features.

I started working with this with a trainer at a K9 training facility as I have a dog with a great prey drive and aggression due to anxiety with other dogs. He is a rescue so don’t know past history. This has helped me greatly to help train him without punishment or “shocking” as perhaps with other devices. I would recommend if you were to consider this to establish yourself with a trainer who is familiar with this and not do it on your own.

Educator BP-504 BarkLess
We have a gentle 8 year old mutt 64lbs who either barks at the wind or at the echos of his barks, as well as deer, bunnies, passerby. And we have an 8 month old hurricane adolescent (50lbs) who has taught our older dog to bark at birds, as well as everything else that moves. L0 (just the beep) works miracles on our older dog, and our younger hurricanes up does much better than normal on L2 (from 1-9 of shock). She occasionally blows right through it in a cacophony of fanaticism about a bunny, but still is much better when she’s wearing it. So we are back to buy a second one so they can each have one. The charge has been lasting fantastically long. Wish the collar itself came in different colors so it would be easier to ID each dog’s collar without needing to add our own sticker/check the settings.

My golden is 4 years old. When he came to me at 7mo I was dedicated to teaching him using positive reinforcement techniques. He did well with learning everything except how to behave on a leash. He already came to me with poor leash conditioning that I found challenging to deal with and ultimately break. Despite going through leash reactivity training and trying to use other methods of reinforcement for him on the leash, the value of reacting was and continued to be extremely rewarding. I began to resent walking him. I tried this as my last effort. He is a sensitive dog so I was concerned I’d damage our relationship but it seems it has improved with this collar. He understands better now what is allowed and what’s not when he’s on leash. I enjoy walking him much more now than I have in 3.5yrs. I’m no longer dreading it.

I’ve been using the FE-560 FOB for a few weeks now and I’m really impressed. It’s super compact—probably the smallest remote and receiver I’ve used—which makes it really easy to carry around during training. Despite the size, it’s packed with features and feels really sturdy.

My puppy is incredibly smart but having no negative consequences made him listen only when he felt like it. Or when the treat was worth the reward. Our puppy is still being rewarded but also corrected when he doesn’t listen. This tool has been easy to use and I would recommend it. Of course, train yourself before training your dog.
